I have read numerous books and various websites on how to develop leaders and was looking for anyone that would be willing to share their template. I would like to have weekly discussion etc. to really drive home the point of leadership. We were 6-4 last year and will return 19 of 22 starters, but no true leaders. I think this could make the biggest difference for these individuals.

When I was in college the coaches used John Maxwell's 21 Laws of Leadership. They would divide them up and one coach with teach the first 7 to the sophomores, one coach would teach the next 7 to the juniors and the head coach would teach the last 7 to the seniors. I thought it worked very well.

I would highly recommend the Team Captains Leadership Manual by Janssen. It's basically a leadership curriculum designed for your captains broken down by weekly lessons. You can just use what's in the book or supplement your own stuff.
