Any of yall that have had the experience of coaching a team that plays on a synthetic turf field, how much does it cost to get it done? Are the other companies a lot cheaper than Field Turf? What is a good company to go with? Just looking for any info yall got. Thanks.

lots of variables involved with the installation of a synthetic turf field. range can be anywhere from $650,000 to $1.2 million .... get estimates. most should last you 10 to 15 years. (or longer)

My district just installed it this past summer, for about 1 million dollars. It is great to play on. We have three high schools that share the field and it was awesoem come playoff time that the field was in great shape still. Now every athlete/band member from all the huiigh schools and middle schools can use it. Before, only the sophomore and varsity football teams could use it. Now it is available for anyone. Well worth the expense.

Are these costs for just the turf itself (excavation, base layer, turf)?

What about if the facility is basically there (bleachers, tower, etc.) and you just install the turf?

I think the prices everyone is throwing out there are just the turf.

I think the prices everyone is throwing out there are just the turf. the price includes the total job. that is why there isn't a set price for each place. depending on how much work is actually needed for completion - excavation, leveling, etc. they don't just price the 'carpet', they quote you the labor costs as well...

What is the biggest wear on field turf? Is it the actual use, or is it the weather. Does it not last as long in some place like the midwest where its frozen for 4 months out of the year? HOw big of a factor does weather play in the wear and tear of the field?
