So, let me get this straight, they asked your opinion with respect to your staff, IN A CLOSED MEETING THAT THEY CALLED, and then talked to your assistants about it? Run, run as fast as you can, and don't look back.... Yes.. and it might have been the AD.. but one of them went back and told them I said it.. It would have been one thing if they would have used it as a way to mediate the situation.. but it was done as a "watch out, coach doesnt trust you" type deal.. Then in a later meeting with the two.. I expressed my concern with them finding that out.. and they both denied telling them.. Wow... Well, one of them HAD to have mentioned it to the assistants, given the timeline. 1. They ask you about the assistants. 2. You tll them that you don't trust the assistants entirely. 3. You're assistants are anrgy that you don't trust them.. The worst I ever had to deal with was an AD who took every parent complaint at it's word (my boy should be getting 25 carries a game) and turned it into a nightmare. AT THE FRESHMAN LEVEL! I'd get out of there, I really would.. Even if it means that you have to take a OC job somewhere instead of a HC job. It sounds like you're in a no-win situation. I have found that I would rather be a coordinator/position coach (or even JUST a position coach) in a decent program than to try and deal with the bullsh-t that goes on with being an HC.. I think the only way I will ever take an HC job is if I have moved through the ranks of an average-good program and taken the job over. The more I read on this board, the more I have come to realize that the administration is generally at fault when it comes to programs that are in the sh-tter.

Air, So whats the deal now? I haven't read anything from you lately has it gotten better? Hasnt gotten any better.. just have moved on to basketball season.. so that guy is about to get his crap load.. especially being that principal is former basketball coach.. He has now moved on to messing with me in the classroom.. nothing too major.. just the unannounced walkthrough observations.. and over the top feedback and suggestions/demands.. I can deal with those however.. Just waiting for the time to cut ties..

This came up at our district meeting the other day.. the meeting where we vote for all district players and such..
The person who was elected chair last year has since retired.. well the new principal of that school had assumed the duties..
Well my principal didnt like that.. and tried to appoint himself as chair person..
All of the head coaches received an email from the acting principal about a meeting date.. that date didnt work for my principal.. so he tried to change it..
Well.. they all decided he could meet with himself if he wanted.. but they were all meeting on the original date..
He gave in.. but at the meeting when they voted to put the date in stone as to when we would meet after each season.. he was out voted.. and it pissed him off..
I dont know what was all said in their meeting.. but he ended up getting up and leaving.. then as we were all gathering to vote for our players..
all 20 something people in the room just went on and on about how unbelievable this guy was.. and how he was such a power hungry arse..
I guess its good to know that others from the outside view him this way.. kind of makes me realize that I am not just being a tit..

I've had issues with my administration and coaching staff! Don't trust a soul at my school.

Darth Vader didn't make it..... Adolf Hitler didn't make it.... Bud Kilmer didn't make it.... Stalin didn't make it....
When are people going to realize that you can't have negative leadership in order to succeed.
