We have 2 separate on staff coaches that coach our jv. They do go with the varsity on fridays to help either with signaling or charting.

We have Varsity/JV as the same staff and a separate freshman staff. I'm the Fresh HC/OC/OL coach. This year we had 8 varsity coaches and 4.5 freshman assistants. I say .5 bc we had a guy who would come out when he could, but did a great job when he came out (he was working 4 part-time jobs to make ends meet + coaching).
HC/OC/OL- Me Assist. 1- DC/DL/RB Assist. 2- ST/WR/DB Assist 3- LB/OL Assist 4- RB/DB (when there)

Small school situation: JV practices with the Varsity - Myself (DC/RB) and the OL/LB coach run the JV games and the little bit of practice time before the games. We only have 4 coaches for the forty some kids 9-12

We have 5 guys down on JV. The head JV coach is also the varsity wr coach/JV OC. He pretty much coaches all of the offensive positions on JV. Our film guy on Friday night is the DC for JV. He pretty much coaches all of the defensive positions on JV. We than have 3 other guys. One guy yells at the ref and the crowd all night. The other two guys just yell random sayings all night. None of these 3 do a thing on Friday night, except take room up on the sidelines. Our JV is pretty much the same. We have a few "coaches" who just show up on gameday and do a lot of yelling, at everyone none of which has any value. Our Jv is made up of a different staff. HC is the defensive coordinator as well. We have a coach for each position on defense, working their way through the ranks, an offensive coordinator, a offensive line coach, and then the game time coaches who coach whoever is not doing the best job that day

We have a separate Varsity and JV staff. But our JV staff is also the Freshmen staff with the exception of the me, the JV head coach. I'm by myself, doing Thursday walkthroughs when the Freshmen team is playing and the rest of my staff is with them.

Our jv and varsity practice together. We have a jv staff but they also assist the varsity position coaches as well. During indy drills, the varsity will do offense while jv does defense and then switch.
