How jacked is this? We played our last regular season game Oct. 24th. Due to circumstances I have no idea about, we don't play the bowl game til Nov. 15th. That's 3 weeks off. It's getting into basketball season here so there's all kinds of time conflicts. It's not fair to the kids cause it's time for them to go to b-ball, imo. We've cut our practice down to one a week, just trying to keep everything polished up and not overload the kids since a lot of them are getting into winter sports now.

Good call Coach. Treat it like an All Star game. Have fun but it is time to move on to the next sport. July through November is longer than NASCAR.

Well, last practice of the year tonite. Been a week since the last one, hope we still even look like a football team. This is weird, I love football and all, but there is a time for it to be over, and it's not 1 GAME 3 WEEKS after the end of the regular season. There's been no continuity the past 3 weeks, we've tried to do just enough to keep them on their toes, but we'll have to see how it goes.
Grr.

Geez, heard yesterday that the league said there is no minimum play rule for the championship game. What a crock. We have to have one of the most bush league organizations in youth football.
I'm OL/DL coach and I have most of the MPP guys rotating in my groups. I plan to play them in normal rotation with no changes. But I can see potential problems.

I don't know. My guess is they just up and decided it. They've changed a few things mid-stream this year, and apparently before this year it's been worse but we've been able to hold their feet to the fire on some things.
Amazing how some people won't make a decision and stand behind it, but if somebody else will force it and make the call, they will back said decision up cause all they have to say is 'he did it'.

Ouch. We got drilled in the championship game. Mercy rule running clock in the first half, they run the opening kickoff back in the second half to go up 40+ points and end the game. First possession we fumble and they pick it up and run it in. 2 more possessions we're on the goal line and fumble into the end zone for touchbacks. Just ugly. Blech.
