Our banquet is this Sunday night (the 8th). We are having pizza for dinner (using the HS cafeteria), a local D-III head coach is going to be our guest speaker (about 20 minutes) and we need to give out numerals, letters, and individual and conference awards.
Can anyone give me a schedule of how you would arrange the evening?
Thanks!
I do not believe that crossfit/MMA groups are making people douchebags, but I do know that douchebags are almost universally attracted to the crossfit/MMA scene, it's like catnip for them...

Hey coach, only done two in my short stint but they have been very successful.
Last year we included the cheerleaders but this year it was just football we buy pizza but also have parents bring pot luck otherwise the food is gone too fast.
I start at 5:30 on the dot, briefly introduce each coach, provide assistant coach of year award, recognize admin, boosters and parents and then get to the meat of it, and award the kids.
first we call kids up by certificates, shake hands, then assistant coach hands out letters and numberals while i move on to the next kid. always try to say 2-3 positives about each young man.
after we cover the whole team we then go to the real big awards such as poy , pride award, leadership award etc.
the whole bit takes an hour maybe for 22 kids and the coaches. then we eat, people leave whenever they want after they get their food.
we started at 5:30 and had help cleaning up by 7:15.
WEED AND FEED - To grow the finest forest, Dead wood is cut down. Old trees must accept a new forest ....the alternative is of course the wood chipper.
We say a prayer, eat, handout parent awards for volunteering. Then each coach talks about 2-3 minutes per athlete. Then we give out special awards, then name weight room and passing league coordinators.
