Biggest game of the year tomorrow. We lost last week so we have to win tomorrow to stay alive for the championship game. Best safety snapped his arm in last week's game, best lineman (both ways) will be on vacation at the beach, as will another end that's in the starting rotation, as it's fall break for school here. So we're down a couple of our top guys. It'll cause a minor personnel shift and we can cover it pretty well, it just hurts depth and getting guys rest. I'm scared we're gonna wear down. This is assuming my best end (offense and defense) is ok after being out with the flu this week. If he's totally out it could get dicey, but hey, that's why we get paid the big bucks, right?
Also having a couple of guys not at all the practices because elementary school basketball has started up (no not practices, they're already playing games). Woot!

Since when do kids/teachers need a "fall break"?
With all the vacations and summer/spring/Christmas/Dr King/ teach conf/snow days, Edisons moms birthday etc the kids are only in school 180 days a year anyways. Ridiculous.

We have several down with the flu. It definately makes it interesting to watch kids in new positions. I will pack my sense of humor in the game bag for sure. Good Luck!!

Thats how it is here too Dave = all the kids in our neighborhood are out this week also......they still go the "normal" amount of days(whatever that is?), they just cut out 1 month of summer vacation and add it back in smaller breaks a few times a year.....summer vacation here, is only part/most of June and July, I think? They start back to school the 1st of August.......I think I heard something this week about starting "full year school", for k thru 12 = no true summer vacation at all? This may have some repercussions for football practice and other summer sports in general?
