ted seay (even though he is no longer there) and his friends on American Samoa. Tog: As awful as the quake and tsunamis were in Samoa and American Samoa, it looks as though the damage was fairly local -- my old buddies in Fiji and Tonga should be OK...a real tragedy for the Samoans, though.

Being from Hawai'i the tsunami situation has affected our coaches and players that have family there. Our thoughts our with our polynesian brothers.

I spoke too soon about Tonga -- sadly, there were several tsunami-related deaths in the northern islands...
