Any one write up Predictions and outcomes for their team and opponents before a single snap has taken place?
Obviously I do and have done so based on Coaches and returning players from last year. Kinda silly to some I am sure considering I haven't seen any of the teams in action since last season right!?!?!?
Just cant help myself, been something I have done since I was a kid, use to go through every NFL team all the way to the Super Bowl.
Am I the only one?

For the first time in a long while, I really have very little idea of what to expect this year. Last year we were 8-5 (three plays away from being 11-2). This year we are replacing all of our RBs, our entire secondary, most of our LBs and some of our WRs, plus we switched conferences, I have no idea what talent level our competition will be, or even who we'll be playing in most of our games, and almost half of our team (midget level - mostly 8th graders) are first year players. We have almost our entire line back, and a few of the new players are pretty good athletes, so I think we're going to be okay, but with 1st year players in a number of key positions, it's a bit of a crap shoot.
We did not perform well at all in our first (and only scrimmage) on Saturday, so with the season starting this week, I'm not very confident. I know we'll get a lot better over the course of the season, but we could end up anywhere from around .500 to around 7-1 regular season plus whatever happens in the postseason. Frankly, it could be worse, but I don't think there is any way we're going to be good enough to run the table.

I'm 2 weeks into games and I'm thinking we are some where between 10-0 league champs and 6-3. We are a very good team that will beat the majority of the teams in the league, but we have three teams that worry me because they are bulldozing through people just like we are, so those games are toss ups.

16-0, National Champs....same prediction as every year...LOL Hasn't come true yet but we've gotten close. Last year we went 11-2, lost in the state championship (not to cry, but we got robbed) to the team that finished 2nd at nationals and lost in CA at the Jr. Rose Bowl on the last play of the game Hail Mary to a solid 13-1 team.
Seriously though, our midget team (I'm just coaching QB's this year, letting an assistant get experience at the OC helm) is very, very physically strong. Physically its the strongest team we've ever had. We will have a kid at QB that is our fastest player we've had in 12 years, he can flat out run the option. Of course, the league we play in is very talented and some of the teams, for lack of a better term, are STACKED......The junior midget National Champion team is coming up to midgets this year, as well as the returning runner up National Champion team from last year, so its going to be a brawl this year, maybe the best talent and competition ever. Our freshman team will be very good also, not overly talented in size or speed at the skill spots, but good kids with a strong work ethic should produce a solid season, maybe 7-2 to 9-0......I've got 3 QB's on the frosh team that run the option well, so it will be a very VEERISH season....LOL

Well our only prediction is that we win our county championship. But we have no clue who we will be playing, our schedule doesn't come out until the week of Sept. 13th. We do have 2 preseaon games before hand.
The good thing is we where able to keep our 90% of our team from last year and keep the whole coaching staff. Last year we lost in the 1st round of the playoff becuase of a fumble by us.
Good Luck to everyone this year!

After a 1-7-1 season I can safely predict we will be much better. Shooting for above .500.
Hopefully our jamboree was an indicator of things to come. We ran nineteen offensive plays and scored 3 touchdowns and only gave up 1 td on twenty defensive snaps.
Good luck to everyone this season.

I'm a first time coach who is ate up with it after only a few weeks. I don't have anything to compare them to, but I can't imagine there being any teams more athletic than us. My prediction for the team's record is 6-2 to 8-0.... my prediction for my personal record is going to be "Fun and Oh".

Certainly a good approach, I know for Dang sure we can't underestimate anybody we play this year, every team we play in midgets and at the frosh level are very, very talented and well coached. It will be a tough, challenging and demanding year. Thats what makes it so fun....LOL

We are 2-1 right now. We had a 2 year run where we were VERY good talnet wise. That group you only get every few years. Most people thought we would only win a game this year at best. The team we lost to has lost 4 games in 7 years and I think we might get another shot at them.
I thought we could go 7-3 to 10-0 for the regular season. I also thought we could make a run in the state playoffs. So right now I am just worring about getting us into the playoffs and has us ready for when we get there.

I can say things are looking up. We'll see hown many show up Monday, since I pi$$ed off most of them by putting most of our studs on the line last night J..I've got a question, I'll shoot you a PM

I really have no clue how we'll do this year. First Game is Saturday and first time I've coached 8-man (8-9 year old league) in only my 2nd season as head coach. At our jamboree in a 10 team league I rated us average. I think our team is lacking size on the O-Line but we have good solid backs. I've adapted Cisar's single wing system to the 8 man rules. Since my team is an expansion team and I know the other teams are practicing more than our 3 times a week and only 1:15 minute practices, it will be a challenge. I guess it will be a good test for Dave's system with fast pace targeted practices. Last night the QB for our Championship professional indoor team and coach of another team was talking to my parents about how stupid my system looked with the backs crouched and such but I really hope we can give his team a run for the money this year as I'm not changing. After 10 practices now I think I have the parents on my side and appreciate the work I've put into it at this point. So after all that said I predict we go (4-3) with one playoff win.

Our biggest challenges will come in our first three games. We win 2 out of 3 we are in really good shape this season! 2-0 puts us in pretty good shape but the team we play this week is a powerhouse! Well Coached and very very Fast! Two other programs have been greatly improved this year. . . it will be more interesting then I thought down the stretch! Good luck to everyone in this weeks games!
