weekly: grade________ (can be approx) completing homework _______ Sits in front of class_________ On time to class________ Good Conduct __________ Comments:
#2-5 are yes/no or check mark if they are doing the right thing. Must be done at a time that will not interrupt class.... before tardy bell, laid on desk and will be collected at the end of class. Kids is responsible for doing it. If you get a 'I forgot' for a class that is same as a bad report. substitute teachers just put down 'sub' in the grade line. Been doing it for years, teachers expect it and know the deal. Experienced subs even know what to do.

Been doing it for years, teachers expect it and know the deal. Yeah but how do you set it up? I'd want to do it but there is NO WAY it would fly with some staff. I can't die on that hill. =(

I dont' know why they wouldn't want to do it. Takes maybe 30 seconds, and that is if you need to check your grade book.
Our approach is with the faculty is: -We are here to help the football players to be successful in the class room, first. -We can help with discipline issues before they become a problem, if you communicate with us first. -We want the football players to excell in the classroom, because they are an example for other students. -We want to know both the GOOD and the bad the teachers see in our kids. -We do not expect any special treatment for players. -We are all in this together.
If you could address the faculty at a meeting or get the admin on board, that will help. We have a great relation with the faculty, but we are all teachers working along side them.
Are you not in the building with the teachers? I could see how that might be a problem. If not, get someone who they see day in and day out to be your liason for this.

I am not a teacher. We have one JV coach who is in the building our entire varsity staff either teachers else were or works in the private sector.
