Just curious what your schedule is like for the weekend in-season? What time do you and your staff go until Saturdays? Do you meet on Sundays at all?

We meet from 8 until 12 am on saturday. View friday night's game, and get cut up's made from next opponent and every position coach has a scouting job and they take them home and work in between college football. We then meet at 2pm on Sunday and usually finish around 6 with the game plan ready to go for monday.

Ive also found that if your HC delegates certain scouting report responsibilities to his assistants, sometimes there is no need to meet Sundays. Maybe the OC & OL coach meet on their own or the OC & HC but if everyone does their job right it shouldnt have to be a all weekend deal

We don't meet on Saturday. Coordinators get copies of the video of the opponents and put together a tentative game plan. We meet on Sunday night to watch our video and finalize the game plan. That usually lasts until about 9. Monday we turn in the completed game plan by around 10.

We play Friday nights. Kids come in Saturday to workout and watch previous night's game film. JV kids get ready for JV game. While offensive coaches run the workout, defensive coaches are scouting film. A late day has coaches at school until 1:00 pm. The kids are usually out by 10:00. Sometimes we have to scout after the Saturday workout. Head coach and I (DC) often come in on Sunday to finish watching any film and exchange ideas.

Kids have both days off. They are after all kids, it has worked out well. Kids get to work on weekends and parents like this too. Prior staffs had kids come in on Saturday, horrible experience. Staff breaks down film and game plans for next opponent. Sunday is God's day..... And NFL.

On Sundays at 2pm, show the kids film at 3-4, coaches stay and get the base game plan done until around 8pm. Scouting reports are done by Monday when we leave.

Come in Saturday whenever you want and pick up a copy of next opponent. Watch it on your own, and grade your players. Meet Sundays at 5. Watch previous game as a staff and defend your grades. Watch next opponent and put together game plan. Get done when you get done!

Thanks for the responses. We go in Saturday at 7 and are done about 3, while kids are in from 9-1 to watch tape, get a lift in, and briefly go over next week's opponent. Sunday the staff meets from about 3-6.

Staff comes in @ 7am. Watch previous night film for grades while 9th/JV coaches work on opponents film. Usually done w/film by 9, move on to the opponent's film at that point. Work until done anywhere from 11-1pm. DC takes data and works on over weekend. Offensive coaches comment on Hudl for the kids to read.
Kids have to watch Hudl over the weekend when the film is ready.

Most of our games are on Saturday's....1:30 kickoffs.
We do stats immediately afterwards and make copies for position coaches to grade on their own by Monday.
We meet as a staff on Sunday nights, usually 7-10:30PM to breakdown opponents film for next week's gameplan. Have had nights go long (1AM is the latest), but we get done when we get done.
Monday we do our previous weeks film with kids & coaches (split squad) with lifting, etc.
IF we play Friday night then Saturday has been an extra day off for kids and we are scouting our opponent(s). We might change that up this year and show our film Sat. AM @ 9 this year

I give the kids and staff off, unless we have a short week. I usually go in, wash uniforms, and review game film. That's just me.
