Watched a great CWS again this year from Omaha. Both LSU and t.u. have a lot to be proud of. Saw Les Miles was in the stands cheering on the baseball team and 2 of his football kids were playing. How much of that happens at the HS level, the football coach going to the other teams games? I had the pleasure of working a clinic with coach Miles last year, very nice person and passionate about the game, even youth football tinyurl.com/mnl5bk

As an AD, I constantly encourage our coaches to support one another and for the most part, they do a pretty good job. We have one two head coaches who are seldom seen at other activities (one teaches at our school and one is an off campus coach who has quite a drive) but most are supportive. We also have a high percentage of multi sport athletes so a coach has another reason to come out and watch his or her "kids" as they play in another sport. Now, could it be better? Of course, but right now we do a pretty good job.

Interaction between coaches is a mess at our school in Indiana, and none of the big 3 in sports want to share athletes it seems like. Its ridicoulous and needs to stop.

I go to a lot of basketball games for both the boys teams and girls team (both pretty good teams usually make good playoff runs) Our football HC and I even went to Penn St last year for the girls state championship game, the girls HC is our AD so we support them to. As far as baseball that's a different story. Their HC is always talking kids into playing fall ball and convinces kids their future is baseball and not football. So we have a very strained relationship with him. We also think his interaction with the players is very very unprofessional and have brought it to the attention of the administration at the school and it looks like they are starting to listen and look into it. So needless to say we go to a few of their games but not as many as basketball.
I think supporting the teams of the school is a must for you as a coach. I know for us seeing teachers and administrators at these games helps us look good and shows we support the school as a whole and not just the football team.

i go to a lot of other sports
I helped coach girls basketball a little so i got to know the girls well. I also saw every home boys and girls game because i do the scoreboard at all home games
Ill watch a few baseball games every year. I played in HS but our baseball team has been bad last couple seasons. A guy i coach football with is trying to take the program over, if he does im sure he will rope me into doing it with him. Our Football HC is also the wrestling HC and a lot of our guys do both so ill watch their home matches. I even saw some volleyball this year
I basically saw every team at least once this year (except soccer and cross country, they arent sports)
