I use pinnacle, real pain in the rear Sure you can add text to any clip- No way to Tag/store/search- We spend 100s of hours on pinnacle doing what it takes us just a handfull of hours on Hudl. If I value my time at even $2 an hour going the Hudl route makes sense. Dave, Did you try Hudl out this last year? I remember you saying you used something else, but I don't remember it being pinnacle. Did you change?

Dave, it appears the Youth version of Hudl is all I would need for a 3rd and 4th grade team. Would you agree?

Of course, the rest is overkill IMO for the youth level UNLESS you are going to put in a ton of time and have multiple game tales of every opponnent you face- which would be pretty over the top for 3-4 grade- We just do the math and scout the very best teams.
If Bob C is coaching GG we know they are going to be good, if Bill S is coaching PS, we know they are going to be good etc then you have 1 team that comes out of nowhere, week 1-2 pretty easy to ID who that team is. By playoff time, you know who the beasts are going to be weeks ahead of time.
On my site there is a coupon code for $25 off on the main page under Technology: CISAR
Note we are using Hudl right now- Im breakig down our very best and very worst plays which we will e-mail to the players via Hudl the days we are teaching those plays
We are also doing the same with EFFORT We are showing the kids what great effort leads to and holding them accountable to it on every play- great tool for doing that as well
Xs and Os are great, but we want to use it to demo for pad level, effort, fakes etc etc _

Dave, I have your implementation of single wing video. Will that upload to Hudl and allow me to clip and email those? (Not sure what protections you have on the discs.) I will be at your clinic on Saturday in Cincy.

I now have the youth version of Hudl. I do not have any film to upload. Any Hudl account holders out there want to send some film to my account so I can practice editing and using the software before we get started full force? thanks.

Todd Coach, by far the best thing you can do to learn the system is to get a hold of game film from last season. It can be on DVD, mini-dv tape, HDD camcorder, online, etc. We published our complete prior season over the 1st weekend we had Hudl. We had a bunch of players creating highlights in the 1st week. They loved it and we learned the system. Let me know if you not able to and I'll send you a link to a game video file you can use.

I have game film loaded and published to Hudl. I coach 3rd-4th grade. What categories or playlists do Hudl users create?
