I was reading an article somewhere about where would you want to work for 1 year if you had the chance and kind of gave me an idea for a thread question. If you had the opportunity to coach for 1 game only, anywhere in the world, at any level HS, College, or Pro, what team would you want to coach and why? Ill go first... UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME (unless they are playing USC ) Touchdown Jesus, The Four Horsemen, Rockne, Ara, Lou, the tradition and all the legends of the past. The buzz on campus on gameday. Just unreal Runner Up: MichiganBorn and raised in Michigan. All the traditions and I cant describe the energy you feel in the Big House on gameday. But the most important reason, THE GAME

I can't imagine anything more fun than coaching for the Packers against Da Bears at Lambeau (make that October not December, thank you).

But the most important reason, THE GAME I assume that you are referring to the one that you always lose. ;D

The Big House - I'm a huge Wolverines fan. Second would be with the Raiders and I'd bring a club for Al Davis' old a$$.

College: Notre Dame Quarterbacks
NFL: New York Giants Running Backs or TE's

I would just like to have a headset on during the Alabama/Utah game. It would have been fun listening to the conversations on both sides in that game.

High School- I'd say my alma matter just because that would be special to me. Then maybe Hoover Alabama because those games on two-a-days looked pretty intense.
College- Michigan State my favorite college. Then Florida this year with Tebo because it would be awesome to coach a guy like that.
Pros- Dallas Cowboys. Then, the Dallas Cowboys!

First of all, it says "game" in your title but "year" in your post. I'm gonna go with year!
I'd love to coach with the Buffalo Bills, my hometown team that I'm obsessed with.
But... I'd really love to observe the New England Patriots. I know Pioli isn't there anymore, but I'd still love to observe that business-like atmosphere and soak up the knowledge all those guys have.
And my other choice (I know, I can't decide!) would be the Steelers, just so I can observe their defensive play and sit down with their DC.

My choice would be to get to coach one year with Paul Culver at Thornville Sheridan. I am a very sick man! LOL!

High School: My alma mater. Take them to the state title we have never won.
College: University of South Carolina. Coming out to 2001 in Williams-Brice would be enough of a reason for me.
Pro: Lions, I would like to try to turn them around.

Youth(/shrug- I'm a youth coach): Any select team. I'd return to my small, poor inner-city team after that. But, just once, I'd like to experience having an athlete at every position. Also, I'd love to be an asst. coach to Dave Cisar, Dave Potter or, a few other really good youth coaches that post on the youth boards.
High School: Any Texas team at any level higher than 6-man.
College: Texas A & M against all takers.
Pros: Dallas Cowboys
I'd prefer to be a DB coach. But, I'd take anything, including fetching and hauling water if that was what the team(s) needed me to do.

HS- my Catholic high school closed down over 30 years ago. I would love to reestablish the high school and the program. College: Got to be Notre Dame. I love watching the game played there and the stuff that goes on before and after. NFL: I'd love to coach anywhere with Tony Dungey, otherwise get me Chicago or Green Bay.

High School: De La Salle High School versus any Southern California School (any position). de la salle, vs long beach poly - the game from 2001 was one of the best football games i've ever seen, probably the most talent ever on a field during a HS game, they wrote a book about this game.

If I could go back in time, I would want to coach the Poly game with Maurice Jones Drew in the backfield.

No big suprise here..... The University of Alabama. To work for Coach Saban would be a once-in-a-lifetime chance.

I'd need three answers at three different levels:
1) Coach my alma mater in a state championship game.
2) Coach my Cleveland Browns in the AFC Championship game, maybe I'll have better luck than Marty.
3) Finally, my favorite team... the Ole Miss Rebels, at home, at night... against Alabama. To know that the Tide was the opponent would be enough motivation, but hearing "From Dixie With Love" then "Dixie" from the band and knowing that the students and fans in the Grove had been perculating all day long, waiting for it... wow!!!!
