I'm trying to find a website for these. I'd like to find them as cheap as possible. The cheapest I have found them is $60...Any help would be appreciated. I've seen them somewhere before for as low as $39, so that's where I'd like to be.
Thanks
Coach Mays

Coach Knight, the tees are useful because they have a timer built in.

I am aware of the timer but wow, $70. Gimme a break! Especially given the fact that they break easily. We've never had one that had a timer that lasted for more than one season.

I am aware of the timer but wow, $70. Gimme a break! What other reason would you use the QB Tee for?? Im just baffled that he asked about a QB Tee and you reply with orange cone. I want a sandwhich.. anyone know where I can find a shoe??

What a Jackass! I thought he was looking for a cheap way to start a play in 7on7. Those Tees are a ripoff. Count Mississippis son! $70 for a cheap timer is crazy. The ball will set on a cone just as easy as a QBTEE and you can run around them in conditioning!

Agreed on the timer. We bought one and the timer display went out after one month.

The Tee sets the ball at a height that simulates the height of the center's butt. It really hinders a shotgun team, but we have adapted over the years by having someone just let go of the timer button as the ball is snapped.

The ONLY reason I would use the QB tee is for the timing aspect. I use my center during 7 on 7.. But, the cradle and height is a selling point.. Ever have a 7 on 7 scrimmage and have that home school coach who does the.. 1 misssiissssssiiiiiippppppiiiiii.. 2 missssssiiiisssiiippiiii.. when they are on offense.. and when you are on offense.. its 1. misisipi, 2 misisipi.. ?? I personally do not use them.. but for those who do.. I would think they could use a 5 gallon bucket just as fast as an orange cone.. but that is not the purpose for which they use them.

I assumed from the original post that this guy was looking for many. I would not spend the $$ on more than one. If you do a 7on7 and don't have a coach with a stopwatch and a whistle then that is on you. Personally I hate 7on7s anyways and feel they teach bad habits. My suggestion of the cones were just to get rid of the center. I have been criticized for not sending a center to 7on7s. Again, it is not real, why have them do it.
I can see the tee being good for timing drills and such but I am sure I wouldn't buy a bunch of them. I have heard no good comments about the timers and that is the main reson you would want them. My thing with the cones is, when the qb takes the ball off the cone, start the watch. If you are a gun team move the cone or tee, back to where the QB is standing.

The first year they came out the QBTee company sent me eight to use at my QB camp. I've used them for about 10 years now for the QB camp, QB/WR drills in practice, and coaches ask me to bring a couple for the 7-on-7 tournaments we enter. The timer has worked great. I just change the 9 volt battery annually. I take them apart when I'm not using them so the elastic cord doesn't lose its elasticity.
