Has anyone sent a player to one of these camps? I have an explayer looking into it and I want to make sure it is solid. With money tight the way it is I do not want them spending money on something that is not truly worth it.

I've sent kids to it before in the past and the results were positive. Its been about 10 years or so. Usually is a well run deal

Oh yeah, If you send a team of skill there it is different than sending just one. Just one puts your kid in an ad hoc team that may or may not run your stuff

I have worked a skills camp for Coach Dullaghan before.
It is a very well ran camp.
They have a generic offense/defense they teach, but the skills are taught well.
As an ancillary benefit, most of these camps have college coaches at them, and it is great exposure.
For $200/camper, it is worth it, he'll learn and have a blast.

Its 340.00 and it is coming out of his parents' pocket so I wanted to make sure. I would say he would either go as a WR or a DB. It is something like 4 days and includes lodging and food which overall I think is a good price. Thanks fo rth ehelp and if anyone else has feedback or suggestions let me know.

I would recommend it from what I've heard. I've heard nothing but glowing reviews.

I know a guy that used to work them - he loved it and said they were good camps.

I've worked several B & D sessions. It is the best skills camp there is which covers all the skilled positions. Your players will be better for attending.
The more players you send, the less it costs per kid.
They now offer team sessions as well.

Just make sure that it is legal for your kids to go to the camps. It is illegal in South Carolina for a kid to go to a contact camp such as Down and Dirty even if they pay their own way and take their own helmets and pads. Some states have this rule and some do not. Better to check than to find out later and have the kid declared ineligible.

I have worked both the Down and Dirty campa and the skills camp the last couple years and it is worth the money. It is true, the more kids who go from the same team, the better the discount. If you have enough kids at camp, they can run their own stuff during 7 on 7 sessions. It is a great camp for fundamentals and a good team building time as well. Looking forward to it again this summer. I highly recommend both the Down and Dirty and Skills camps.

I went to the camp for 4 years when I was in high school. I would highly recomend the camp! I would also highly recomend sending more than one player. As a senior, it was a lot more beneficial when we had an entire offense and we could work on our timing. As a freshman, it didn't make much of a difference, becuase I needed to work A LOT on fundamentals. They do a good job with technique, but still make it fun with the 7 on 7. The individual position coaches knew their stuff when I was there.

I have a son that is 12. He has played QB in the past in a non throwing capacity relying on his speed. He now wants to be a QB after a couple of years as a RB. The problem is he has less than desirable mechanics. Can this camp help with improving technique, footwork, and other QB attributes?

I have worked several camps over the last few years, and have nothing but positive things to say about it. Coach Dullaghan brings an incredible amount of passion and enthusiasm to the camp every single day, and the kids always get a lot of quality instruction. It also helps that in Indiana, the summer rules here are very lax at the high school level, and we are allowed to wear pads.
