Percy i believe tested positive for mary-J at the combine. that would hurt his stock. dosnt really have a true position so he needed a team that would give him a role like Reggie Bush has. those teams arnt as many as you may think.

nice call fbdoc, Beck was released by the Dolphins. It's amazing that a player drafter so highly can be out of the league in 2 years. If you can't make the fish roster at QB you must be chitty. Poor, poor scouting. That's why the HC should have the final vote.

Beck is another guy i really like and thought he could be a very good player wen he came out. the thing with him though is he got drafted under another coache's term. hes not one of "parcell's guys". that said, BP is far superior to me in talent evaluation, so i trrust his decision for his team. still, i think Beck is a diamond in the rough. Cam Cameron thought so too.
the real problem i have with the NFL is what you mentioned though. its like if you dont perform your 1st year, then you're expendable. 1st round picks even. as soon as another coach comes in (highering and firing of coaches is a whole other rant) everybody is on the trading block. Jason Cambell and Jay Cutler are good examples. i mean, the teams finally have some stability at QB (the Broncos more so than the redskins) and the new coach for whatever reason wants someone else. usually a rookie, or 1 year wonder (Matt Cassell).
