Guys -
How do you call plays out of an unbalanced formation? If you take your left tackle and line him up on the right side, do you add a hole number to the right side?

It really doesn't affect our playcalling at all. We treat it as a wing. In our system, anything outside the TE is a 7 hole or an 8 hole. Fun with unbalanced

We do the same thing. It doesn't change our holes at all.

For offenses that use an unbalanced line all or most of the time, a version of the odd-even hole numbering system centered on the true center of the line (which may be a guard position) is commonly used. Others use a numbering system that goes straight across rather than odd-even; that's also seen the way some number an attack that's asymmetric even with a balanced line, such as wing T. But it's different for teams that use odd-even numbering and are mostly balanced and only occasionally unbalanced.

We want to use the same point of attack, unbalanced or not.
Commonly, we leave everyone at their same position, with one exception. We take out our SE and put in another tackle between the tight tackle and the tight end.
Since we are adding an extra guy up front, we look at more at the play name, rather than its number. Our bucksweep cuts right behind the wingback's down block. Our buck off tackle cuts off of the tight tackle's down block (the EXTRA tackle). Down hits at the same spot as our buck off tackle.

We use the same numbering as if we are balanced...

We don't use hole numbers. Just give the RB aiming points.
