If you think what you lifted yesterday was heavy; you haven't done anything today.

played at a very small high school ... so, we played both ways (talking varsity) i was the fs on defense for 3 years. on offense, my sophomore year i played every position on the field except tackle and center (although i was the deep snapper/short snapper all 3 years). as a freshman on the jv i was a rb and backup qb. so, with that experience and the fact that i played db and returned punts (all 3 years varsity) they often used me wherever there was a need. junior/senior years i was a guard. we ran alot of pull / trap schemes so the coaches used my quickness there. we had several kids in my class that were 'back types' but few OL. apparently, i was the easiest of the bunch to convert to ol. however, i was still the backup qb. also was, again, the starter at fs and returned kicks. yes, go figure ... starting guard/starting free safety... how many of those ya seen? but, i honestly feel that by being involved in just about every aspect that it helps me now as a coach.

I played Tail Back. When I wanted to go in the coach said, "get your tail back!" I also played Left Out, and Right End (of the bench). Those jokes are so old my grandpa farted dust the first time he heard them. Seriously - FB/LB in H.S. - FB in college. Our college coaches called us fullbacks "low IQ guys."

Linebacker, nose guard in high school. DE, LB in college. I've spent most of my time coaching DL or LBs. Its a wonder I even know what a football looks like.

Center I see that most of the coaches here played OL. I guess it makes sense, all of the smartest guys continuing with the game after we are done playing. Maybe all those other positions just couldnt figure out how to turn the computer on
