I always love watching Brian Dawkins play......he plays with that level of reckless abandonment whch makes the high school level so great to coach

As a diehard Eagles fan and I think I speak for the majority of Eagle fans we will miss him. He was a pro on and off the field. I will tell you this, fans are calling in and blasting the Eagles brass. He wanted to be here, they are well under the cap, and he could at least given them another solid year. But the coach in me at times says they know what is best and maybe they did'nt think he could play at a high level. Just like a parent that complains but is never at practice. But I will miss him.

I staretd a Dawkins post yesterday, but it disappeared..
As a diehard Eagles fan, I can ay I'm sick over it, I understand he was up there in age, he wasn't the Dawkins of the past, but he could still play at a high level. The reports here in Philly are saying he only asked for 2 years, and the a$$holes in the Eagles FO refused to offer him more than one. No matter what you can't replace the intangibles the guy brought. Undoubtably he most beloved athlete in this city, who love very few.
There was no way the cheap SOB's in that office were going to match the 14 mil that Denver was offering...so I guess now I 'll cheer for Denver.
Now I know why there's so many fans of other teams in Philly, I actually feel like I'm done with them myself.

They're well under the cap every year..it's bull$hit!. The problem is that the FO doesn't give a $hit about how hard you or I work for our money, as long as theirs is secured by an A$$ every 18 inches in that stadium. This organization is so full of crap, I love the apology the ran in the Daily News saying that they will only accept a Super bowl win next year...Yeah as long as it doesn't put them under a 40 million dollar cap reserve. "committed to our fans" right that's why you started charging them to tailgate...across the street. They disallowed fans to bring in sandwiches...sandwiches, after they paid an exorbitant amount for the seat they're sitting, in ..of which they had to pay in advance for a seat license 1st. Then after this disappointment of a season, what are they going to do to these fans they are so "committed" to ..yeah they are raising ticket prices, again! They're dog$hit in my opinion
