Guys,
I'm headed out of Michigan to Orlando for our spring break (leave March 22nd return April 4th). I haven't told the wife yet, but I'm thinking of heading up to Gainsville to watch Florida practice while I'm there. From searching the internet it looks like they typically practice at that time, have open practices, and Gainesville is about 90 miles North of Orlando. However, I didn't see anything out yet for 2009. Does anyone have anything to share about attending one of their practices? It seems like it would be a zoo with all the success they have had. Thanks in advance.

I'm not trying to downplay their success but here is the secret: get 12 sub 4.4 40 players on your team.

Chad -
A buddy of mine went last year. He went to the last day of spring practice and the spring game. He said it was NUTS and insanely packed - and that was BEFORE winning another national title this year. That being said, however, he enjoyed himself and picked up a few tips and drills, so it couldn't hurt to try. Good luck!

Not sure they have fully released the dates for this year yet. Also just so you know here in Florida we don't measure in distance its all about how long it takes you to get somewhere. I live in Orlando and it should take you about hour and a half to get there. ;D

ccox, I didn't realize you were in Orlando, are you going to the COY clinic?
I'm not far from Orlando myself.

I like going to USF, there's not alot of people and you get to talk to everybody. Have a great lunch and then big spread late at night.
Last year the guys they had fit what we do better than most of the stuff at USF. Of course the year before was a big WOT (that's-waste of time)
I'm sure there's a clinic at UCF too, just never been.

Its just the stuff we put in the water down here in Florida. Big state secret, I might be shot for even mentioning it.

chadp56, Florida hasn't yet posted their clinic dates, but the Orange & /blue game is April 18. The clinic is usually that same week, so it shouldn't be too crowded when you are looking to watch practice. Get there maybe 30 minutes early to beat the locals and get a good spot.

They Ccox, Gary Pigott just called, he wants your number, he was mumbling something about "water," but I couldn't make out the rest of it." He said they were sending down some guys to your school from the Gainesville office.
Don't know what that's about. OJW

This is the kind of advice I was looking for. I get a lot more out of watching practices then spring games anyway.
