I'm going to the AFm clinic this February. Not sure what I want to see the most -- I've seen the Willamette fly sweep but still am intereted in parts of it -- the A-11 is supposed to have a presentation and whether you like it not I figure I might see it next year --- Central Missouri is speaking on the special teams with their head coach -- and then a tackling segment with their d-coordinator. I've seen thier video and they go into depth.
Any one else who is going - what are yo going to see?

Well I did not look at it until now. I would like to see Speckman. That is worth 100.00 to me.

I'm not going to the clinic but I agree with Morris. Speckman alone is worth listening to especially if you can get him in person for some Q&A. Very good common sense ideas on stretching the field horizontally with the fly sweep stuff, then coming back and pounding people with iso & power type plays. Then when teams start cheating forward they throw the ball over the top with play action pass, etc. for big gains. It seems simple but is effective and he adjusts well to whatever the defense is doing as the game progresses.
They rang up 41 points per game this year in DIII on 415 yards per game of offense before losing to Wisconsin Whitewater in the playoffs. 251 rush yards per game and 6 yards per carry. Just 164 passing yards passing per game but a 16.7 YPC figure. The run game sets up the passing game. He has a plan and he executes it very well.

basically talking to myself on this thread but thumbs up - a great clinic - great hotel and locale good speakers I liked the breakout sessions and the point-counterpoint.
Saw Speckman from willamette very good - watched some of the a-11 - whether you like it or not it presents some interesting concepts. I think you can do most of the stuff without messing with the numbers. gets the ball 1-on-1 in space better than most offenses.
Got a lot of the tackling presentation that I can use right away.
In my opinion, Very good clinic - probably better than the glazier clinics the past couple of years...

Just got back from it. I mainly focused on watching Hamilton from Foothill high in CA, but thought overall it was very good for the reasons listed above.

First time I ever attended: Frankly speaking, it was the best clinic I have ever been to! I couldn't get enough of Shannon Wilson. His cover 4 and cover 2 principles were very good! Tutsie was great. The guy from New Jersey was good. Just a great clinic!
