I am in the process of (considering) putting together a newsletter to email or send to parents periodically. I am planning on including an off-season update, dates to remember, recruiting information (ACT dates, etc), and some positive athletic parenting information. What other information do you think might be beneficial to include?

What other information do you think might be beneficial to include? I just sent ours out. It was one page. It had the following: --Short season recap with stat leaders, all conference/all area, award winners and next year's captains. --A plug for S&C program and why they need to be involved --I listed all the football players who made the honor roll --A shout out of support to the winter sports programs --Thanks to faculty, support crew etc. I should have listed ACT dates.......but that slipped my mind.

I do a monthly newsletter starting after the season and running up to the summer. I include items as important dates (Study nights, weight-room times/dates, weight-room attendance, any outstanding achievements by the athletes, coaches information such as clinics, reminder on college materials (ACT, grades, classes to take).
I started the newsletter because of the size of our district and since we are so spread out, I had a hard time keeping everyone in the loop.

What other information do you think might be beneficial to include? I like to include my current weight room attendance and lifting totals. I also like to make a few positive comments about the boys who are discipline issue free and recognize those with straight As.
