Looking for ideas for themes for each day of the practice week. An example might be "Tell the Truth" Monday, etc..
Looking for your ideas for Monday thru Friday (we play on Sat)
Thanks.

Dont know if this will help, but I saw this on a glazier video and loved it. I can not remember what video or who said it, but he said to have a word of the day. Meet with all the coaches before practice and come up with a word that represents something positive in football and then all the coaching staff has to use the word as many times as they can when it fits.
Example, Lets say the word you guys choose is "hustle" from the start of practice till the end use "hustle as many times as necessary. Kid Hustles on ST say something like "Now that is hustling" or even going and coming from water breaks if they hustle use it over and over. I know not exactly what you are looking for, but I liked this idea.

Tim Brewster has "Takeaway Tuesday" every Tuesday at THE University of Minnesota. It worked as they were tops in the nation in takeaways.
Or when I played college ball we had "Bloody Wednesday." It was the only day we went full pads and the only day we really had contact, hence "Bloody Wednesday."
This was more of a joke, but Thursday was "the day before the day before." Friday we took it easy because of our game on Saturday, so Thursday was somewhat light than Wednesday so it basically meant to tone it down a bit so no one gets hurt.

we have a "theme" each week ... basically as part of character development.
say the theme that week is "overcoming adversity" ... then we begin the week with a small message about that. then, we have a "thought for the day" that is posted along with our practice schedule (we post our daily practice schedule - leads to efficiency and accountability for our players - another subject perhaps). the thought for the day is simply a quote that 'fits' our theme. at the end of practice we talk about the thought for the day - ask a player to quote it. ask several players "what does that mean to you?" ... talk about it briefly.

I know this may not be quite what you are looking for, but...we have Pursuit Mondays, Tackle Tuesdays and Takeaway Wednesdays. Instead of a theme for the week, we have a speaker at our Thursday team dinners...

We have Miami (what we call gassers) Monday where we always run Miami's at the end.
Tackling Tuesday- We always work some tackling drills in
Whistling Wednesday- We have two whistles in team D where everyone has to get to the ball and we blow a second whistle
Those are the 3 that the kids have taken to. We have said Tighten the Screws Thursday, but it hasn't been as catchy I guess.
We play on Friday.
