I am organizing a youth coaches clinic. Looking for ideas or suggestions if anyone has organized something of this sort as how to make it a success. Thanks for your help!

Sounds like a good idea, I'm curious to see the responses. I would say bring in a guest speaker that the coaches would want to hear.

Have to give them reason to be there: Youth Topics by Youth Coaches that have actually coached Youth Football who know they nuances of the Youth Football Dynamic It all goes to credibility< Nothing worse than asking the presenter "Where do I put my MMP kids in that scheme?" and he looks back at you like you are speaking Russian. They dont want fluff and hyperbole, they want details, Things they can write down and use the first day and week of practice Handouts- We e-mail multiple Power Points Good Topics like: Youth Practice Org Effective Youth Offensive Line Schemes and Drills Components of an Effective Youth Defense Game Day Management Components of an effective Youth Series Based Offense Youth Speed Development Youth Character Development Offer Food and soft drinks as part of the deal Offer free Note taking materials ( many coaches walk in empty handed) Make sure you have plenty of Video of what you are talking about, nothing worse than watching powerpoints all day Lots of hands on demos involving multiple coaches in front Multiple Speakers who know how to speak in front of a group. Then you have to effectively communicate to everyone in the youth football community as to why they need to be there.

Coach Cisar - I am glad they are "sending" you up here to Chicago. I am making your clinic a mandatory stop for my coaches. I have always liked how you have carried yourself on this board. Not sure if we will Single Wing it but we will learn something, I am sure. Dress warm.....

Only About 20% of what we do at the Clinics is Single Wing
See you there and reminds your guys to sit in front. I always give the guys that help in demos feebies
