Ok coaches in my 14 years of coaching I have never gone winless untill this year. Understanding the force's that were against me this year with undersized players, slow players, ect. the 8-10 team that I coached started making strides near the end of the year.
I am looking for camps be it contact or non contact for the players to attend durring the off season.

Well, MD is a LONG, LONG way from AZ, but we are discussing putting together a camp in AZ in the spring or summer.

Coach, This year I went 1-9 and we beat the team that everyone beats, so we were one game from BEING the team that everyone beats. I am also in MD and on our league site there are a bunch of camps for kids www.rfl.cc Try it out and see what you like.

We won one game in the regular season(two, both against a winless team) but one of those was a forfeit loss.
We won in the first round of the playoffs against a team whose community is rival to the local HS. Shut them out, after the blew us out in their first game of the season. The forfeit changed the seeding order and gave us the team nobody else really wanted to play, we beat them decisively.
We lost in the semis to the league regular season leaders, their closest win, tied them twice in the game, nobody has ever done it in the second half and we did. We also faced a team with a year plus unbeaten streak and lost 8-6 but outgained them. They lost two straight after that to each of the teams we played in the playoffs, but they made the final game to face one of those two.
The way our kids played was also promising, no truly dumb penalties, a few effort penalties, nothing that was dealing with loss of composure, poise or character. The other's players were so rattled that they did that continually, giving selves bad fouls several times. We kept command of position and poise for the most part, we ran out of time late from using time outs early.
A rival select travel team folded, their HC wants to join us, tried to send all their players our way. When the season resets we can add those eligible players, I plan on adding him to the team, it may cause some friction but he is a good coach and motivator. We maybe have five or six returning at this time. All skills, but the travel team was filled with lineman(a nephew started at G there, played both squads including center for a season on the 4th grade team).
None of the teams playing better than us will have many returning players either, one doesn't even accept 4th graders.
I've seen no regional camps here, bordering an MSA. We have a lot of baseball league enrollment and basketball leagues are starting again. We already have players going to hoops practice even when we were still contedning for the first playoff tier.
