I searched high and low.. but without the search feature allowing "no" and with no response to sign or card.. I had to ask..
I know I saw a red or yellow version sometime back..
Looking for the 3 digit flip book looking board..
Anyone ever make one??

We made one. Used some white plastic peg board we found at lowes for the main board. Then printed out our numbers about 8" tall, laminated those sheets, and punched holes in the top corners. Then stacked 'em up in order and fastened 'em to the peg board with plastic zip ties.
Heck, with the second generation I even figured out how to put tabs at the bottom with the numbers on it so you could flip right to the number you wanted.

I love the tab idea, that is great! Don't buy the manual scoreboard like in the picture above. I did last year, and any little breeze/wind pushes those poly-numbers all over and they're hard to keep down.

Coach, how big are the sheets of paper... and how did you laminate them?

They are regular 8.5 x 11 sheets. I did cut off about an inch at the top so the holes would just be through plastic and not the paper too, in case of rain. Don't know if that would matter or not, but I'm kinda picky like that.
We got a laminator at Wal Mart for around $30. Another $10 or so for a pack of plastic sheets and you're set.

I bought some of the self laminating sheets.. but they were like $8 per 10... so with 40 numbers.. I am looking at $30+ just for the lamination.. I want to say the ones you laminate with the machine are cheaper.. Those look rather thick.. and seems like a great fit for what I am trying to do.

Also, how important is the PVC?

Yeah, the ones for the machine are cheaper.
The pvc isn't really important. I just had the frame and brought a piece down from the bottom as a stand. It was 4 numbers across so it could get kinda heavy if you had 2 stand there and hold it all night. We had one guy on the first 2 numbers and a guy on the second 2 and it made it easier to handle.

Mine looked just like utchuckd's except I used shower curtain rings instead of zip ties to flip the numbers.
The tabed bottom is a grat idea.
Most schools have a laminater.
airraider, not sure what you are asking about your PVC question.

Are those handwritten numbers, or are they computer generated. This looks pretty similar to what we are using.

We have used the old gymnastic scoring boards or the ones used to post distance for track! They come on wheels also, but cost more than home made!
