So today I was looking at our helmets that came back and for some reason it seemed like they weren't as clean/fix as in the past. What do you guys expect when you get yours back? Our face masks were showing the metal underneath and still had paint from our last opponent on them. Also some of the chin straps were worn through at the buckles. I and I might be wrong thought the face masks were re done and new chin straps were put on. Am I mistaken? I believe we went through riddel

they have been back awhile they just look like S**t with other colored paint still on face masks and all. I agree with checking them to make sure they are still safe and all but it does see like they just polish em up and bag em now, not re paint or fix.

We generally don't have a problem with ours at all. They do a pretty decent job - have never had any of the problems that you guys have stated - I would consider those pretty bad. However, this year, we did get one helmet that had one of those stickers that say the team name on them - the small ones that go between the screws above the face mask - and it was the name of another team. Our rep was there when it was spotted at equipment hand outs (he helps to fit the helmets on the players - which is good for liability when most coaches are not trained in that area). Being the guy he is, he wanted to send it back. So overall I am pretty happy with ours.

We have used Riddell the last 20 years and this year was awful. it took over 6 months and the quailty was poor. the paint is not great, facemask were not much better. Just did not seem to get the same quality. We used them for shoulder pads as well and the quailty was worse.
