I bought Coach Cisars UBSW Complete package and like the mesh pass. I see where he has stopped that and moved to jet. Was it a timing issue? Have you found success with the Jet? I will have a QB with a CANNON and 2 very good wide outs. I want to utilize them. What do ya reccomend? QB's feet are not that fleet but I will probably roll him abit also. Keep the throws shorter and keep the D off of him. Dave hs some outstanding stuff. Between Coaches Seay, Cisar and Calande, if we fail we either are Ignant or cursed. Man, MANY have helped me here but these guys go so far and above that sometimes I feel guilty. Thanks to you all.

He adapted Coverdale's Mesh and I do not think anyone has been able to figure out what was wrong with it. Coverdale's Mesh is easy to run and can cause a ton of problems. If you want a passing game for the UBSW just research Coverdale's stuff and adapted it to your talent and sets.

Our play action passing game has always been efficient and we always have open recievers. We are experimenting with a few concepts that are new to us right now. As always we will report the findings/facts/production etc when the seasons over. Our initial feel after working on a number of the concepts in our Spring program "on air", we are optimistic. HOWEER we were also very optimistic about a Dart package a few years ago out of this and when we put the pads on and did it in real games with average kids, we failed miserably with it. So we shall see.

We were not consistent with the short pases off the base mesh, let alone the deep route. Last season we used that practice time to spread the field horizontally using the Jet. It was very effective. We did well with the base jet sweep, but the big plays were the traps, powers, wedges, play action pass and counters under the jet motion. We had fewer players in the box etc. It's a matter of prioritizing where you are going to spend your precious practice time. I felt we had a much higher return on our investment putting the jet series in than putting mesh in. Youth football means limited practice time ( 3 days per week, then 2 days per week) and limited numbers/talent etc. My philosphy is to perfect execution of anything we put in before we move on to another series. we never came close to perfecting mesh, our completion percentages were what most youth teams get, which was not acceptable. On the other hand the jet series averaged us over 10 ypc . Our execution of the plays under the jet were very good and the jet itself we were getting very good at it our last 4-5 games. Zero turnovers with the series for the entire season.

We also ran Coach Cisar's UBSW. We also installed the Jet series. I am not the coach that Dave is. Our Jets didn't look nearly as good as his. But, I can say that the Jet is awesome. We scored big with it quite often. If I were as good of a coach as Dave I think we'd have scored or, went for major yardage, every time that we ran them. Motion seems to kill at youth football. Whenever a Jet didn't go for big yards it was because of a missed block or a back running at the wrong hole; which translates to coaching errors on my part. I'll be especially diligent on those fronts this next season. We are definitely keeping the Jet Series.
