Does anyone have a format they use for their youth "mini-clinic?" We are a new program doing something with our youth team for the first time.
I planned to do a one day event with a lot of variety: skills mixed with fun activities with Tees, Trophies and lunch.
I plan on charging a small fee ($25) for lunch and such. The H.S. staff (us) will conduct the clinic along with our players. Any input would be appreciated

Coach....don't really have a format, but.....always liked the "county fair" or stations set-up, where the players rotate to each station, (after a certain time period), on a horn or something......you can divide the groups of players however you want.......have your coach's teaching a different skill or drill at each station.....then "even" change the drills for each coach, so they don't have to do the same thing all day? Try to keep the groups of players manageable, by having the proper ratio of player/groups to stations......I guess the "trick" is in coordinating the different drills in each station, so that...a faster moving type station = will have more to do....this allows "all the kids to get thru" = with a slower moving station......Example = if you have a station, working on 3 pt. stance and another doing football agility's.....the coach running the agility station, may need to run his group thru several different agility's....to give his buddy, running the stance station, a little time to work? We did this the first week of every season, kinda like basic training for everyone, before we ever split up into teams......the kids really seemed to enjoy it.
