I dont know if this is the place or should I start a new thread, but here it goes. Yes this site is the best out there. I tell every coach or wanna be coach I meet about it. I even had Mr. Slack backing me up when he talked with my staff at a Glazier clinic. Heres my question, why am I still the only one on here out of everyone I told? Why are so many coaches so hesitant in joining this site? Do all of you guys experience this to?
If I should start a new thread then let me know, but this has been bugging me since the day I joined. I honestly thought I would tell some coaches, they would check it out, and be hooked. I guess I was wrong.

I ditto that,
I know several guys that I have told have become members but their could be more,it still is the best site out there and if their are college and pro coaches on here speak up because you guys have so much to offer us coaches so that we can help our kids and community it really isn't about your fame or status it is about the kids period. We are still a brotherhood of coaches and If I may say there is no other site doing what the guys on this site do anywhere in the world.

this site is much better than the old eteamz site i frequented.....people actually respond here.....
side note.....i saw where tallguy tried to come back to eteamz.......hopefully he doesn't find this site.....

Every clinic I speak at and every camp or all star game I get to coach in, the one thing I always mention is coachhuey.com I know a few coaches who have signed up but just continue to pass the word about what a great resource this site is to all coaches. Thanks to Huey, Tog, and all of the moderators!

I want to say that I appreciate it, quite a bit. One underappreciated aspect is that tog and Huey have learned from mistakes other boards made and have kept this a very open, non-dominated forum, which has kept it so vibrant over time with no signs of slowing. Most other boards get stagnant, dominated by a few voices, and slow down. There are also a lot of diverse views on here.

Two reasons why people might be hesitant is one, many people do not want to get lost in the fundamentals of the game. It takes too much effort to focus on one aspect of a game, listen to what people have to say and then have an intelligent discourse and two, some people are affraid of the stigma that goes along with such a site, because of what eteams and football fanz sites have become.
I have talked to many about it and only about two that I know of have actually come to this site.

Great appreciation for Huey and the other moderators of this site. Thanks for the respectful and thoughtful way you manage (moderate) this site. It's something unmatched in the cyberworld. No agendas, no egos, just a brotherhood of coaches who respectfully share their knowledge and experience with each other. It's an incredible resources! A unique place.

This site is definitely helping me to become a better coach--there is so much to learn from the posts done by others , as well as the documents and playbooks. I'm like the super-bored guy (SNL skit?) who just discovered the rosemary in the cabinet: "Honey, do we use rosemary? I love it!!!"

This site has been invaluable. I have gained so much wisdom, and insight that I pass along to all aspiring coaches that I come in contact with. I ask that all members of my staff join the website. I just have to give back more. I need to post more. So I applaud Coach Huey, and all the mods for creating a Coaching Knowledge Base.

I echo the thanks. I agree that one of the greatest things about this site is that there are no agendas or egos from the moderators. Its about learning and brotherhood.

You gotta recruit the wife. tell her a couple of stories...my wife thought I was having an affair... I told her it would be impossible..I would only risk it for a 25 year old hottie and no 25 yr old hottie would ever want a 48 yr old man w/ more hair in his ears than on his head..so no need to worry |
