In our town, it depends on the age range of the squad. On the youngest squad they use the smallest ball. The next two squads, 8-12 year olds, use the "youth" size which is the middle sized football. The oldest groups use the pro sized football.
In our league, you get fined 50 bucks if you don't have the rule book with you and you are coaching a game. Of course, if you don't have a rule book, you wouldn't know that. Might want to pick one up, if for no other reason than that.

Our association hasn't sent out the rulebooks to the coaches yet.

What coach is looking for is the exact nomeclature of the balls required. Each league is different, for us K2 at the flag level, Wilson TDJ at age 8-10, Wilson TDY at age 11-12 and 13-14. Your league will specify and your local sporting goods team dealer will know which ones to order.

The Pop Warner rule book is available on-line on the Pop Warner Little Scholars website. I do not allow my kids to wear visors or any other crap. They do not need it! The visors trap the heat in the helmet, they get muddy or scratched up then the kids can not see. Tell the parents to purchase rib pads or forearm pads if they want to buy something.
