Making physical contact with another human in anger is unacceptable. Regardless of judgement on the situation at-large relationally between the two humans here in Reid and Kelce. I draw a hard line at physical confrontation..it's unacceptable, even if by accident. The consequences can be debated, but to say it is nothing or inconsequential, I just can't get my mind wrapped around that. Had the questionable judgement of verbal confrontation been avoided, then there would have been no accidental physical confrontation. And Kelce has already said as much. Which makes it "nothing" I don't think him acknowledging his mistake makes it nothing. I think him acknowledging his mistake give credence to the level of unacceptability. And should help move to a remedy between him and Coach Reid as well with the public fandom at large.

I'm not sure if Reid gives two chitburgers about much other than winning. And he shouldn't. In professional sports the only things that count are winning and making money in whatever order the team owner prefers.

how nfl coaches handle yelling at them is up to them. not quite the same as a 16 yr old doing it to an adult, but it is to someone in authority. supposedly. i think different nfl coaches would handle it differently, and as far as i'm concerned (which is really not very far at all), it's really their business how they do it.
jmo i do think the bump was accidental, and when you're old and fat, balance is definitely not your strong suit. i think it looked worse than it actually was. i have actually seen this before (been around a lot of old fat people, not on a fb field) where nobody was mad or yelling.
again, jmo
i sure wouldn't call it assault, unless maybe there's such a thing as accidental assault (3rd degree?).
again, jmo
i guess i have a lot of opinions. none of which anybody cares about.

I don't give two craps. I am just commenting because that is the point of this board. I've been cussed out by head coaches. One guy, we couldn't even call the play. I had to tell him to cuss us after the play calls so we could communicate. Then he would apologize and we would laugh about it at halftime. There was never any threat of physical contact.
If Kelce had misjudged the distance, he would have looked a bit shocked and reached for his now stumbling coach. Instead, he kept screaming at him. The physical contact is no good. Reid might not care, but that doesn't make it good. If he does it to a female trainer that just told him he had to sit the next series, nobody would think it is ok. Perhaps, he didn't mean to bump him like he did, but he didn't show any sign of regret in the immediate aftermath.
That being said, the commercials were so disappointing, I may not watch next year. Should have just replayed DII champ game Sunday night.
