seems that this year there are a ton of teams run the wing-t red/blue formations (slot/wing t with arc and jet motion)
we see more qb runs, midline, veer option and wing t stuff mixed with power I flavor when the slot is motioned strong to lead up...

In our conference we see a mix of things first 2 teams we play are mostly Wing T and both will have a little spread/trips package as a change up. The third team we play is spread (worst team in the conference), then its back to wing T for week 4. The last week is a mixture of I, TE trips, and what we call TE spread. We are spread all the time (see App State)

In years past, this is what we saw:
1 Straight T 2 Pro-I based teams 2 Veer Option teams (1 splitbacks double TE, 1 multiple-I based) 3 Wing T 2 Spread (1 Zone Read based, 1 Wing-T based)
...one season it was 6 wing-T teams! (one of the pro-I teams tried it for a year, and the team that is now the splitback veer team was in it)
This past season, new team, new league...and this is what we saw:
2 DW teams (1 pure DW, the other combined some Single Wing) 5 Pro-I teams 1 Multiple Team

We see shotgun spread from 4 teams. They all run the zone read and all like to throw more than they run. Only 2 teams use a TE in our league. The team that does not use shotgun every play is a Pro formation Iso / Power team that uses a ton of play action passes.
It was great this year we played 4 teams that use a ton of 2 back sets with TE's and run zone, iso, and power. And everyone else was in the gun running zone read and throwing the ball a ton.
No Option, No Wing T, No Double Wing. Our offense is one of the only in our division who runs options and there is only one Double Wing team.

Regular Season (Last season--from what I remember) 1 flexbone 1 multiple/grab bag (when they line up in this, they do these 3 things, line up in this..these 3 things) 1 2 back 3 WR spread (even though they ran flexbone to a 4-0 start, and changed up to play us) 4 4 WR 1 back spread team 1 SPREAD T team (4 foot splits btw lineman. Two TE, 3backs. Team ran dbl wing for previous 8 weeks) 1 wing-t wing I / Slot T Slot I team.
Playoffs 1 4-WR spread 1 2 TE One back zone team.
This was southeast Louisiana top classification football.

Offenses we see in conference/regular season non-conference:
Flexbone triple option Splitback veer with a little 1 back Wing-t/1back Wing-T Multiple I Multiple I with a lot of 1-back I option Power I
Playoffs (teams in our section) Gun 4-5 wide Flexbone triple option gun spread gun spread nasty slot wing -t I option Multiple I/oneback
We are seeing more and more 1-back because of the defense we play (6-2). Vs teams that want to go toe to toe we matchup well. Vs teams who can pass and run the ball from 1-back we struggle b/c that is now how we want to play.

1st four games were vs. ProI/Spread teams, then Spread, Pro I, Spread, Pro I, Spread & Spread. Spreads were 3 & 4 wides running Zone reads in combination with passing attacks. Most of the Spreads were of the pass first then run variety.

We faced Power-I, Spread Gun, Wing-T (power offense), Flexbone, (power), Dbl Tite Wishbone, Singlewing. All were basically lining up and saying hear we stop our power run game. We had the Spread Gun the 4th game and they said stop our passing attack. Quite a transition from stopping the run every down to trying to stop the pass and then back to stopping the run.
