What "extra" stuff do you guys give players?
I’m looking for ways to supplement my linemen and bring them along when we cant be at practice, having very limited good coaching in the past.
For example, I'm going through college cut-ups and finding examples of "Good" technique and gonna put that into a Hudl and I'll also record my self doing our installs and put that into Hudl.
Curious as to what you guys do. I know there will be kids who never watch it or watch it and dont care but I’ve got time and at worst, it helps me both now and in the future.

Coach, showing college/NFL position groups will give an example of what you are wanting to attain. However, it will create a cognizant disconnect. If you want to show film of bad/good stuff, it should be of the players themselves.

Everyone would love to get to that level, show some clips of what technique is required 2. Show it translates, these coaching points we’re talking are the same even in the SEC, BIG10, etc. 3. Give them a real look at it. There was no ez view last year of film so some of the details are gonna be missed. I think theres definitely room for both in the cutup

If you want to show film of bad/good stuff, it should be of the players themselves. Coach do you have first hand experience doing this and changed from it, or can you speak more to it? I ask because I have had the idea (similar to OP) that in the future during camp install having positional install meetings for before practice each day to discuss new plays going in and each coach having video clips to show the kids correct technique for whatever they are working on that day. Thought was having multiple means of delivery for explaining the technique, really help visual learners especially and much easier than trying to explain and demonstrate while on the field. Thanks

Have a whiteboard day, just show them over all scheme and how it all fits together. I find there are always a few who just don't get it on the field and this really helps, also the ones who do get it get to refine their roles in the offense by seeing it and helping explain it to team mates who are struggling.

I'm more of a HGH guy myself. Yeah those are good also but I want to toughen them up by making them jab themselves with needles Also as a side note if they get a teammate to do it I can count that as a team building exercise

I created a google classroom and shared stuff through that. Can create assignments and when completed they can get goodies (ice pops after practice for example).

I'll echo what someone said about google classroom and posts
Also I randomly will call kids down to my office just to chat for 5-10-15 minutes. At first they sometimes think theyre in trouble but really I just want to check in on them.
Also if you have opportunities to bring them all together to do some kind of bonding or even just have dinner together, do it. Those meals will bring kids together.

I wouldn't show cutups of college or pro. The kids will not be able to see the relationship. We had kids grade their performance in a game. Then they compared it to mine. It was great to see and talk about where they were coming from. The little things most kids should be working on is muscle groups most don't think on working and stretching.

During inside run or team, I film with my phone from behind the LOS. I only take 10-12 clips. After practice I will text them to individuals with instructions as to what I'm seeing them do either right or wrong.
