Our state finished up their season yesterday with 4 state championship games.
We made the semi-finals (5-4 record) got beat by the state champs in the semi-finals and they beat us earlier in the season as well. We were the only team to score in the first quarter against them all season and we led for a quarter.
We had 2 games removed from the schedule for Covid concerns. We lost our 1 and 2 Tailbacks for 2 games because of close contact. We were 1-1 in those games. When #1 came back he was injured and missed the rest of the season.
Very happy for our kids that they were able to play 9 games got 2 play-off games and as crazy as it sounds the senior class became the winningest group of kids in our school since 1948. 2 semi-final appearances and a quarterfinal.
AND then last night after the games concluded they shut down sports.
