That last story reminds me of the time a fan ( I don't think it was even a parent) drove three hours to watch his team play in a 7 on 7, wrote a scathing post on a message board about how awful they looked at this 7 on 7, and then was informed in the thread that he had watched the wrong team the whole day. Two teams at the 7 on 7 were primarily black and gold in color and he had watched the wrong one all day long.

I had a parent meeting last night. I was thinking of this thread the whole time. After a win against a cross town rival, I got an email from a parent complaining about playing time. I thought it was odd, because although the kid wasn't a starter, he played quite a bit. Anyway, we meet to talk about it and the parent was upset that their child was on the sidelines the whole time with their helmet off and never got in the game. I explained that wasn't true and offered to show them the game film. They were adamant that they watched #11 the whole time and he didn't go in. Their son wears #11 practice jersey and we have just randomly given out practice jerseys. They were watching the wrong kid the whole time. When they realized their mistake it got real quiet. Three things that really make this awesome. 1- When they went to their kid after the game they asked him why he didn't play. He agreed with them that he didn't. 2- The kid who wears #11 game jersey is a short skinny Asian kid who was injured and was just hanging out on the sidelines during the game with a hat on. Their son is a tall white DL. 3- It was the third game of the season.
This is gold.... I think I would actually enjoy being a part of that parent meeting...
That’s why you can never give a lineman #11, even for practice. If that turd was wearing 71, never would’ve had a problem.

I honestly thought you were making it up.. and then realized this is too stupid for someone's brain to come up with.. unbelievable.

I once had a QB named Dalton and our TB was also named Dalton. Different last names TB was a 20-30 carry a game kid, QB might run twice a game and was on the verge of death every time he got hit according to him so I never ran him. One game our TB(who's also 4 inches taller and 25lbs bigger than the QB) rips off a 20ish yd gain from the gun and the PA says "Dalton djrvks on the carry!" Last name was muffled.
Drunk in the stands screams "Stop running your quarterback!! You're going to get him hurt!!!"
I turned around and yelled "It wasn't our QB. Have another drink."
