If they can beat Florida Oct 6.....LSU has a shot Or If Les Miles can stay out of the way of Gary Crowton & Bo Pelini... You can't touch the SEC in terms of "good" teams

The only prediction that I can make this early in the year is that it WON'T be anyone from the "big" east and the only pac-10 team that has a chance is USC. too early for me to state anything else

Texas, USC, LSU, or Florida in the National Championship Game, and a good chance one of these teams is playing one of the other three listed - just a prediction - Luke

2007 National Title:
Cal vs LSU
After Cal works USC and Tennessee they roll into the Title game.
PS. I'm wearing blue glasses.

You can't touch the SEC in terms of "good" teams I guess I agree...haha LSU has an "easier" schedule this year than they did last year... Get most of the tough games at home... I'm going with LSU if they beat Florida. As far as the other team, USC is probably going to start the year as #1, and I don't see them losing to anyone they've got on the schedule... And I'm gonna have to hear about it ALL YEAR LONG since I just moved to Cali...

LSU won't win the SEC WEST!!! Not that I don't want them to, but I don't believe it will happen.
SEC Championship game - Bama vs. UF WVU may not lose a game
ACC Championship game - FSU vs. Tech
SWAC/MEAC Challenge of FAMU vs. Southern has 70,000 fans there Labor Day Weekend.

MICHIGAN!? HAHAHAH!? You're serious!? Michigan! That state up north!? Listen Michigan fans the VEST owns you... In fact it is a bit pathetic that the best players to come out of SCUM in the last 20 years were Ohio Natives Woodson, Howard.
Seriously Michigan fan give it a rest. OSU is going to stomp you like we do every year, Tressel keeps the talent in state.
Have fun watching Chris Wells run right through you Michigan Fan.
OSU 38 Michigan 24
Same old, same old

It probably won't be anyone out of the SEC without some help. The league is just good from top to bottom and the home venues are a mad house every week.
Florida was good last year, but they had quite a few lucky bounces. Even when you get the lucky bounces, i.e. Auburn, you don't always make it because of this made up joke of scheduling weak non-conference games. Why play tough non-conference games when your own conference is the best in the nation?
For instance, Alabama will play better teams in it's conference than Ohio State and Michigan will play all year.
Anyone that wants to argue I just refer you to the national championship game.

I'm going to go off the wall and predict a Penn State - USC National Championship Game. I just think the Big Ten is going to be pedestrian this year. Michigan has no D and Ohio State and Wisconsin have no passing game, and that recruiting haul that Paterno had three years ago is starting to round into form. Morelli, Williams, King, and company are tough and I think it all will line up for the Nittany Lions. USC will just out-athlete everybody out West. Cal and UCLA may give them some tough games and they have a tricky trip to Nebraska (would love to see them have to make that trip in November though), but they are too good for the other teams on their schedule to beat.
I personally think LSU probably has the best team, but when you factor in the LLLes Miles factor and the brutality of the SEC (heck, Kentucky and Vandy are both fielding their best teams on paper since the late 1970's this year), I don't see them winning it. I have a strange feeling that Tennessee, with Ainge being a senior QB with a lot of experience and Cutcliffe coaching him, might sneak up and win the SEC this year.

I could not agree more with deaux68. Even when the Big Ten is good it's overrated, and this year it will not be good.
As coach79 said, someone will get screwed.
Fearless predictions:
Tim Tebow will throw the ball well and Florida will be good. Everyone is questioning whether or not Tebow can throw, did anybody see the kid in high school?!!! But he will get a concussion in an SEC game (while running) and miss at least two games.
LSU is freakishly talented but will get upset, maybe by Alabama in Saban's return. No way they go undefeated. Have to play Va. Tech too.
USC will go undefeated in the regular season.
FSU will be improved on offense but has a brutal schedule and will lose at least 3.
Notre Dame will have a revolving door at QB and will hover around .500 at some point.
Kentucky and Louisville will combine for about 100 pts in their game.
Oklahoma St. will upset Georgia and then get upset by Troy two weeks later.
Texas will win the Big 12 easily.
Arizona will be a Pac 10 sleeper
