Just wondering if anyone has found success with any Hudl remotes. 0% chance I pay $200 for theirs, especially with their prices already going up. I added the noHuddleRemote App, which is awesome, when it works. It constantly looses connection and you have to reconnect while trying to watch film.
Any insight would be awesome!

Quick thought: We primarily use the arrow keys on the keyboard and a standard laser pointer more than we use our Hudl remote during team sessions.

Mav do you just use a wired connection to an HD TV or do you use a non-wired option? I'd like to use the arrows primarily but I don't have enough cord to reach my chair and still be able to watch on the tv.

I'd like to use the arrows primarily but I don't have enough cord to reach my chair and still be able to watch on the tv. We just use a 20 ft HDMI cable so we can move the laptop around. The arrow keys are so simple and my brain is already wired to control rewind, slo-mo, restart, next play... from using it on my laptop. The Smartpointer has a very weak laser and is flaky with controlling the video. Drove us crazy. Plus they're not manufactured any longer and Hudl isn't making any other affordable remote compatible. The Hudl remote is very expensive and works ok. I've never been as proficient controlling the video with it as I am with the arrow keys.

Mav thanks! I may just have to go that route and pick up a longer cord. Like you I've tried the SmartPointer and it works ok for a little while but then it stops working and connecting.

Are you using the SmartPointer? Yes. Never had any issues. Unfortunately, I think you'll have a tough time finding the Satachi Sp400 Smartpointer. They stopped making them awhile back.

NoHuddle app WAS decent. Now it's very crashy and glitchy. Great for a while, but then it's like they quit caring.

NoHuddle not longer exists. Are there any other alternatives available?

Xbox Controller . Highly recommend cheap at game stores $15-20 Coach, I have an XBox remote but can't get it to work either wired or wireless. I bought a presentation remote made by Logitech that works really well. Can RW & FF but not slo-mo or play/pause. I would like to use the XBox deal. Any suggestions on how to get that going?

I use the wired cable and should plug into USB port on computer then download hudl remote from hudl set up. I have not had success with the wireless xbox.
