I always enjoy the chalk talk battles, especially the "how to defend the dw"...brophy always has the comedic relief though.

There are a LOT of great ideas exchanged on here. Does ANYBODY else print (some of) these discussions out and put them in a binder (ala mini clinic notes)? I think my favorite was the aztec and bark77dc discussions about fire zone blitzes - classic! I have NEVER been on a staff that was in unannymous agreement of anything (even which beer to drink)....I don't expect us all to see eye-to-eye on here or on philosophy. This boad is a gold mine to anyone interested in football. THANKS HUEY & TOG!

I like the qb and passing game threads especially when Darrin Slack posts in them.

i have tried to print discussions before, brophy, but it seems like the pages always get cut off and parts end up missing. I probably should just try copying and pasting, but haven't yet.

i have tried to print discussions before, brophy, but it seems like the pages always get cut off and parts end up missing. I probably should just try copying and pasting, but haven't yet. copy/paste into word document. may have to do some minor editing for it to "flow". also, when just wanting to print a post, highlight what you want to print. right-click & select print. when the print box comes up, click the print "selection" button and only what is highlighted will be printed. this keeps many of the ads, pics, etc. off & uses less paper.

i'm so very thankful for all the outstanding topics & posts on this board. i have learned so much by reading the threads and from sitting in the chat room discussing ideas. i can't name one single discussion as my favorite, but i am leaning toward brophy's vote ... "the next one"

I personally love the discussions of why grabbing a jersey (at any point in time) is not holding when the rule book clearly states that it is. PS- All of you relax, I am only kidding!

My favorites are anything involving the double dive belly series. I also really like the chalk talk battles. As far as "zany" topics I think the "Chuck Norris/Double Wing" thread made me laugh as hard as I have ever laughed.

RIP
ChuckNorris/DW
It was like watching my child leave me. It hurts to think about it being gone. Which is silly, because I ran the DW this year.

Thank you Coach Blair. Very kind of you to say that.
I too love the quality discussions on doing things well. There is always spirited views on the right way to do it, but it makes everyone better. Thanks to all the coaches who don't hold back in this outstanding forum of ideas.
I wish I had more time these days to devote to this board, hopefully it will lighten up a bit more soon.

This is the most educational and refreshing boards on football that I have been able to find. Thanks Huey and Tog!! I like what KW has stated on the O-Line play, Darin on the passing game, Airman on the passing game, Tog, Brophy, Ted, Spreadattack, Huey, yspace, and sls on their vast knowledge that they have shared in this board. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

My favorite discussions: 1. "I have the slowest, dumbest, weakest kids in the world...so what offense/defense should I run???" 2. Anything involving "Jeff/Geoff the Expert" on football fundamentals 3. "Does anyone have an Urban Myer / Va Tech / 335 playbook? Please send it to me!" followed by 25 other people saying "yeah, me too" and "yeah, me three!" No, seriously...this message board is insane in terms of how much knowledge and how many fantastic ideas are just freely shared and available to everyone. I think it's great, because quality coaching is what is going to make our sport survive and it's the difference between getting kids out for football, or having them go out for soccer (truthfully). I'm very passionate about coaching education and about how important it is to get better as a coach every single day. We ask that of our kids, so we have to do it ourselves! Good stuff...

My favorite discussions: 2. Anything involving "Jeff/Geoff the Expert" on football fundamentals I would defiantly say that was the funnest. My favorite one was the first one I posted "How do I overcome lack of experience" Because of that thread I am now a coach. So thanks to every one on here that has helped me.

This is a great site. The best thing about it is that we do it for the love of the game and the kids. I can't tell you how many times I went to practice this fall thinking about looking at something we discussed. Good stuff from great coaches.
