How do yall give your athletes protein after workouts? A school I used to be at sold punch cards to the kids and got it to them this way. Anyone know anyone at Muscle Milk or how to contact them?

PB&J and chocolate milk. It's cheaper and it works just as well.

We have done that before also, but Muscle Milk was way easier and less of a hassle. If you did the PB and J how did you make them? Coaches make them by position groups? 1-2 coaches designated this job?

i dont think you can give kids a "supplement" i know of coaches who have been fired for it
the work around is the gatorade protein shakes
they are not defined as a supplement, they are technically a "food" the back contains nutrition facts not supplement facts

I didn't realize protein powder was considered a supplement. I'm not being a smart ass...genuinely didn't realize that.

Ya I know the rules on the nutrition labels etc. I am hearing a lot about the gatorade deal, that is what I am going to look into. I also heard they will provide a vending machine for you.

If i had the OK to put a vending machine in the locker room i wouldve just done that

Coaches make them by position groups? 1-2 coaches designated this job? We just bought bread, peanut butter, jelly, paper towels, and plastic knives and let them eat what they wanted. Jelly went back in coaches office fridge.

We give our kids free muscle milk everyday. Any kid can come into the weight room and get a scoop or two of muscle milk.
We pay for it out of our own account and fundraise to make up the cost.

Answer: We took two pieces of bread and spread peanut butter on one of them and then spread jelly on the other one. Once that was completed, we put the two pieces of bread together...and there you have it. That's how we did it!

We do PB&J and chocolate milk. We keep everything in the Teachers lounge and when we are done everyone goes in and gets milk and makes a sandwich if they want it. One year our HC did this all season long. He bought the PB & J and I bought the Milk. He said he spent $630 that season on pb & j and bread. Now I buy all of it myself. I don't keep track of how much it cost because I don't want to know.

For those guys that make the PB & J's, be careful. I know in our county (maybe even state) we're not allowed to give the kids anything homemade, which includes PB & J's. Main reasoning is if a kid is allergic to peanuts (or something else) and they have a reaction from something not store bought (that has nutrition facts) they can (and likely will) sue.

If you have 300 guys playing football that can be a pretty big job.

I see a whole lot of SUGAR and not much focus on PROTEIN. Taking two steps back in hopes that a step forward is gained doesn't move the chains in a favourable direction. Hardboiled Eggs, perhaps?

Well, when you put in more scoops of MMC than MM that would tend to happen. That's pure ignorance. PER SERVING. What is with the lack of comprehension with supposed educators? Your 'Ncaa approved' product serves up CALORIES. Calories made up of 2-3 times the amount of Carbs Versus Proteins. You have stock in INSULIN? Giving kids diabetes in the name of 'getting cheap Protein into em and hopefully some added muscle (to an athlete who is growing, so yeah...better hope to further physical dev. as opposed to stunting it/derailing it). Being wilfully ignorant about what you are feeding kids has no excuse. Figure out why YOU THINK YOU ARE ABOVE THIS.

You can choose to read the label. First Ingredient in MMC is MALTODEXTRIN, ya Cornfed Retread...but yeah...nobody can compare the two...just take Anders' word for it. SMH.

Not as the Primary ingredient...Seriously...neither is a product I would ingest and honestly, I'd expect to be beaten to death for foisting this garbage on anyone's child. Your argument is bunk. This is just the Vanilla offering...the Choc Peanut Butter version is a complete clusterf*ck of garbage before ever hinting at Protein. EGGS EGGS EGGS EGGS EGGS.

That article references studies nearly a decade old. Why does an article from 2017 have to use studies from 2007 and 2010?
