Thinking out of the box here. Bring Fortnite to your lifting session a few times a week. Rotate position groups through, make it a team bonding thingy. It's not exactly in the Woody Hayes playbook, but worth thinking about. I almost posted something similar. Lift. Then play Fortnite in the field house. Kids will eat that up.

It's the love child of Minecraft and a host of zombie 1st person shooters like Left for Dead. I thought it was some sex game, I was gonna go to my room and exclaim to my wife "Tonight I shall Fortnite!!!!", I am a horrible person, I beg for forgiveness. You must be thinking of the old feudal custom of Prima Nocta, made famous in Braveheart

You won't win with them. You probably won't win without them. But who cares. Get rid of them.

I mean, they're not wrong. Lifting does cut into Fortnite time. They've just gotta make a choice.

...just being sarcastic... we don't have much for facilities, though we do have a REALLY nice weight room no one is using. The lack of interest in the weightroom, in improving yourself and programs isn't exclusive to football. Any coach that tries to improve their programs or hold kids accountable get ran out. SO GLAD I'm not a HC.

I'd be so much less mad at players/students if this were true.

You have to get mommy and daddy involved. Let them know how important the weight room is for both improved performance and safety. After our parent meeting attendance went up 10%. The kids will be there if mommy says no football unless you prepare for it.
