That was the biggest non-event since Y2K. I live in an area that only had like a 90% blockage. No way humanly possible that you could have looked at it long enough to get hurt.

Except thats scientifically inaccurate! We had 99% blockage here. We had no school, so I cancelled practice and told my kids not to stare at the sun and that I would see them Tuesday. Embrace it, don't fight it. We're all in the same boat.

Pretty much like that here as well. Got a slight bit darker here but the sun was still blazing like any other day so impossible to look at the sun. If you didn't know something was happening you would have never known. Now apparently we are in the total eclipse path for 2024 but that's in April so we'll let baseball and track worry about that.

We had that day built into the calendar, it's a work day. And everyone is released by noon. All practices have to conclude by noon. Same here
