Who buys position specific shoulder pads? Is it worth it?

Only in the sense that it's good to have a broad variety of types and styles, not that position-specific pads really matter.

Who buys position specific shoulder pads? Is it worth it? We have different pads for QB's/WR's than other guys wear.

Riddell has its pads labeled as designed for positions (QB/WR, LB/FB, RB/DB, OL/DL) and we bought some of each in varying sizes.
Definitely streamlined fitting-issuing.
