My expereince for 7th and 8th:
5.2 and under > very fast 5.3 -5.7 fast 5.7-6.3 average + 6.3 bone crushers
Not too many 7th or 8th graders in the 4's, maybe 1 in 1000.

well calande- My times for the 8th graders ranged from 8.5 down to a 5.21. Had 8 of my 31 players in the sub-5.5 range, and about as many of my linemen at the 6.5+ range. Its 8th grade so its a crap shoot every year. Oh, my best lineman (5'9" 225) ran a 5.45 so guess who is pulling on my counter plays

man, that kid should be at fullback! lol...ill have to check but i think my fastest was only 5.28 ...best test i did with the kids though was give them two of those real heavy blocking dummies and they had to run up this long stairwell with the two dummies...really separated the men from the boys there.

We are very, very fast as a team, the fastest as a team I've ever coached or played against at this level. I posted some times I took with the kids in full pads further down in the thread. The reason I timed them was curiosity (never had so much, abundant speed like this). I've got 8 kids on our team that can flat out fly, from what I've been told, we have the 4 fastest track kids in the state for their age.
