Just curious - why not Nike, or even Under Armour?

Love Fresno State's black uniform (Nike) Told we can't get them. Looking at Mississippi States maroon and gold uniform (Adidas). Liked one from Riddell. Haven't looked at anything else.

Don't know your colors, but I am a big fan of Louisville's unis from 2013 (Adidas) ... classic! We have the same colors and want to go to those next fall. Pricey though ... $20,000 for a set of 80 home and away.

Nike uni's are not durable. We had them for 3 yrs and they ripped/tore constantly. We had Russell this year and had minimal issues with ripping/tearing.

We have had Russell form fit unis since 2009 (Colts style) and they were $12,000 for a set of 60 home and away. They have been very good to us.

As someone who sells Nike unis, amongst most others, I don't hear this about Nike's unis. Not more than any other brand, at least. What style were you wearing? Had Riddell at the last school I was at. Unis are 3 years old and look 10 years old. Faded, screen printed numbers terribly worn, and the elastic necks are all bacon-y. These were not the newer materials/cuts they're offering now, but their basic line, and I would never buy them again. They were just as expensive as Nike's base uniform, too, but the quality was far less. Nike's Mach Speed, Pro Combat, Beast, Get Loose, Victory Formation, and Adversary are all great unis. Nothing like Mach Speed or NPC on the market, in my opinion.

I have had both Nike and UA, liked both. Only must is twill numbers, I think they add to the strength and durability.

Not only are they not very durable, some guys aren't getting their stuff on time and some stuff are unavailable after they place their orders. I personally have zero experience with Nike. I like Nike. I think we are going with Adidas this next year. Like their stuff and they are offering quite a bit for coaches. We currently have Riddell and they've been good. Had them for 4 years. And the whites look like we've had them for 4 years. Our home set still looks good. The biggest complaint we've had with the Riddells is how heavy they are and i know they've started addressing this.

Just bought uniforms this year. We went with Russell. They cost $20,000 for a set of 75 and 1 pant. We like them. I hadn't heard anything good about Riddell and was told Nike takes forever.

Nike simply works on annual deadlines. You order by a certain date to receive by a certain date.
$20,000 for Russell? Could've been in Nike Pro Combat unis for that number.
Curious...what did Russell throw in with that?

$20,000 does seem crazy...we are looking to spend $12,000 on 50ish home/away and one bottom

That's why sublimated is the way to go! Don't see much on football unis yet but our bball unis are like that and very nice

Russell threw in a pair of short for each pair of pants. A sleeveless shirt to wear under their pads and a t-shirt for each jersey. Also 15% of the total bill we receive in other merchandise.

Many schools in our conference have signed an Adidas contract and I know the coaches are extremely happy with the way everything works. I know they get a bunch of kickbacks with these contracts and the coaches all have a ton of coaching gear.

Don't see much on football unis yet but our bball unis are like that and very nice Screening just isn't durable and feels cheap. Sublimated uniforms are out there - Alleson does them, as well as stuff for Under Armour - but I don't think you'll ever see that trend go beyond the cheap brands and Arena Football-type teams. Nike offers sublimated baseball, basketball, track, softball, etc. unis, but with football, they only offer it on their lightweight stretch twill, which is a great compromise; still have the look & feel of twill, but it's lighter, more flexible, and only one layer of twill in multiple colors, even patterns. I would like to see them offer better font & pattern options, though. Aside from Ithaca, Michigan State, Boulder, and Full Block, I think the rest are kind of weak.

Nike, and I'm sure UA & Adidas, are sublimating right on to lightweight stretch twill. In my opinion, that's the way to go.

We got a set of Nike home, away jerseys and a complimenting pair of pants. We wore them on the Varsity level for five years and they held up well for us. We have bought Russell stock uniforms for homecoming/alt. home jerseys and liked them so we purchased a set of away jerseys and custom pants this year. The extreme compression is very nice and looks sharp.
For our alt. home jersey we picked up a set from a place in the Boise area called Bucks Bags. They sublimate their jerseys so basically you can have any uniform that you want. They are not as high a quality a the Russell or Adidas jerseys I've seen lately but they are extremely popular with our kids and you could add sublimated names on them if you wanted.
If I was starting from scratch I would consider the Adidas Techfit, Russell extreme compression and Bucks Bags uniforms. I think it depends on your school colors and what you're looking for.

I think the main reason some Nike and under armour unis tear, is the position, lb, FB,tb And the fact they are so darn tight! I know that's cool , but you are gonna get more rips

Nike is very expensive and I wish they offered more styles. Everyone in Texas that has them sorta looks the same now.

We're looking into all brands for jerseys but I really like the look of the adidas shockweb jersey. Any of you have these?

Both Riddell and Nike let you customize the entire jersey so you can get exactly what you want. That being said, I have gotten great price quotes on jersey/pant combos with samples that are at least as good looking as the other two; from Intrepid.com Durability is tough to test in a locker room.
