Who do you guys use? I have been an ASA customer (http://www.asa-football.com/) for a couple years now. I am happy with the service and quality we receive from them but am always looking for better deals.
How about helmet reconditioning? Who do you guys use for that? How much do you pay? I just sent in 40+ helmets to be reconditioned. I got the "Deluxe" package. Cost was $21 per helmet. Is that too much?

We use Riddell for reconditioning and ordering new helmets for our varsity
We have a local Rawlings rep we work with for our apparel, uniform needs, some basic equipment, and if we need cheaper helmets for the freshman team

We use Riddell as our primary supplier for all equipment needs, basically one stop shopping. ASA is our secondary option when supplies are low at Riddell. Helmet reconditioning for us is about $19.00 with Riddell. Riddell and ASA both have served us nicely.

It cost me $35-40 per helmet through riddell to get them reconditioned... are you guys right by a plant that you don't have to pay shipping? How do you get it so cheap?

Mainly our price is set based on volume. We recondition an avg. of 600 helmets and 600 shoulder pads each season. Plus we buy 50-100 helmets and 50-100 shoulder pads each season. Riddell is now supplying us with pants almost 100%. We do avg. about 1000 pair of pants. We do about 750 in jerseys. Crazy

All helmets, shoulder pads, girdles and anything thing else come from riddell.
With our game jerseys and pants coming from a local Under Armor vendor.

We are done with ASA. They screwed us royally last year. Will never do business with them again.

We are done with ASA. They screwed us royally last year. Will never do business with them again. That is disappointing to hear. They have been my vendor of choice for 10+ years (they have the best prices on just about everything, although we do usually get our uniforms locally for quality and turnaround time concerns).

We had a great relationship with them for about 5 years. Then, in 2014, we had a slight problem with uniforms that became a major problem in 2015. My fault. When we had trouble with them in 2014, I should have walked away. Stuck with them for one more year and got burned badly. Never again.

Okay, I would never consider them uniforms, just equipment and supplies. Uniforms is a whole different ballgame.
