We are 8-1 (5-0 league), we've won our league for the 3rd consecutive year. In fact we've only lost 1 league game since it was formed 3 years ago. I'm definitely proud of that. We are in the first round of the state playoffs this Saturday. We won the state title last season, so everyone is giving us their best shot. Good luck to all the other coaches on here in their playoff runs.

1-8 WE SUCKED!
But the good news is we won 1 game, which was one more than the previous staff won, and we have 10 returning starters on Offense and 10 returning starters Defense. Very young team with a lot of kids who either had played football before or this was only their second year of playing.

We lost in the semi-finals this year. We should have done better. Next year looks pretty good depending on how well my QB's arm heals. He was a backup this year and played slot for us - broke and dislocated his non-throwing elbow but it seems to be doing well through rehab.

8-1 this year. Only loss was in OT, that loss is totally on the coaching staff. We won our league championship, hadn't one it 5 years. Rewarding because the preseason coaches poll picked us to finish 5th.
We have a few really talented skills, but not a lot of quality depth. Really shows on defense.
We have a playoff game on Friday that we shoud win and then we get the number 3 team in the state.
Fun year - fantastic kids - very few problem kids. Unusual and refreshing. Our kids are so mellow, they never seem to get overly pumped up, they are level headed and come ready to play.

I'm a DC. We finished our regular season 10-0, having scored 521 points, allowed 26, and finished every game with a running clock. We start the playoffs tomorrow (Friday) and, of course, nothing that's happened to this point means a thing any more.
The funny thing is that because of the way the power point system works we're a 2 seed for the playoffs. In fact, the top three teams in the state poll are 2 seeds. Not a complaint. We understand that there needs to be a system and our's is as fair as any and better than some I've seen here.

Frosh went 5-2-1, 8th grade team is 9-0 and we play for the state championship this week. OC on both teams.

Preseason I thought we'd be anywhere between 3 and six wins and we finished at the bottom of that--3-6. 5-4 makes the playoffs in IL and we lost two games we led at the half and lost another game by a point in which we failed to get a two point conversion with about 30 seconds left. 3-6 was probably about right for our talent level, but we were close to making it much better

We were 4-5 regular season. a one game improvement from last year. Made the playoffs and promptly got sent home 34-7. That is the second year in a row we have drawn the number 3 team in the state in the first round. We just can't get that win that will send us to a draw we can handle. Last year lost the district title 26-20 this year 28-13.

8-2 in the regular season, lost two very competitive games to top teams in the state (one on the last possession of the game). Won our first playoff game last night by 40+. Our opponent Monday will be significantly better then the one we just played, but I think we got a good shot.

1-9 with our last game tonight - 25 kids, no JV, and losing 10 seniors. The ultimate rebuilding job guys at an inner city school. First year OC here, 10th year coaching overall. We did good to win the one we did, as we all said, they were just worst than us, lol. Good luck to everyone else in the playoffs.

7-0 with our 7th grade middle school team. Only gave up 6 points all season. I as a volunteer assistant on the team, working wherever I was needed, mostly with lines.

I am the varsity DC. We finished 5-4 (4-1 league) with 13 seniors after graduating 28 last season. Share of the league title. 1 returning starter on defense. JV went undefeated. Freshmen had 1 loss. Good classes from the middle schools on the way up. Two schools with 7th and 8th grade teams. 4 losses combined in the last two years.
We are the definite underdogs in the ENTIRE state bracket. We're young, but talented. We face the same team tomorrow night that knocked us out of the preliminary round last year.
Good luck, coaches.

We did not make the playoffs this year. This is the first time in my 3 years as head coach we did not make the playoffs. Well, gives me lots to work on this off season.

Ok Sophs finished 7-1, this was a team that was 4-4 last year as frosh. Varsity is 11-0 heading into semi's right now. Set a new state record for most consecutive wins and undefeated streak. We won today 42-13.
Oh and btw the refs controlled the scoreboard or it could have gotten worse.

Head Coached 3 youth teams We went: 8-1 8-1 3-6
First losing season in 11 seasons, first year team, only four 8th graders (2 of those first time players) on a 23 player 7th-8th grade team. Only 1 player over 140 pounds. Poor coaching on my part cost us at least 1 game.

We wen 4-6, missed the playoffs by 1 game. Will return 8 starters on offense and 6 on defense next year. Have been at this school for two years and have been coaching for 4 years total. Should be much improved next year.

We started the season on a 37 game losing streak pushed it to 42 games then won 3 straight before losing our last one and just missing the playoffs. I know it's weird to be excited by a 3-6 record but considering we started 7 sophs and 2 frosh by the end of the year I am.
