I have had the great pleasure of having 3 kids who I love to death, and I would love to have them in a dark alley, but I wouldn't want my daughter to bring home. The #1 screw loose kid we've ever had was named Jason.
Jason has a bit of a history...as a freshman...at 6'2" 245 and equipped with retard strength, Jason is almost ejected from the District Wrestling Championship match for throwing his opponent into the crowd and threatening to kill him. (wrestled 215)
Jason also got in trouble for underage consumption the day before 2 a days started for throwing empty beer cans "at" a police cruiser. Although Jason maintains that he was trying to make it in the window even though the officer was in the car.
But my favorite memory of Jason was one day we are lifting and Jason is a senior and 3 sophomores are standing in the corner just BSing when they are suppose to be lifting. Suddenly a 5 lb plate goes flying across the weight room, misses the one kid hits the wall and the chips of concrete fly on the kids. Jason tells them to lift or leave. Not in those exact words but that's basically what he was saying.
As you may have guessed the next day in comes the father of one of the sophomores and he's {censored}. Me, the HC, the AD, the kid, the father and Jason are all called into the AD's office. So we go in there...and the father is past upset he's ranting and raving about this and that and then the father says to Jason "You better not doing anything like this again."
We all expected Jason to say "OK, I'm sorry" or something along those lines.
Jason says "or what? What are you going to do about it?"
The AD tries to interupt but Jason responded to that by "no f*** that, Mark wants to come in here and stand around instead of lift, then his father comes in here and threatens me? That's BS." Looks back at the kid's father and says "Whatever you think you're going to do, do it now. Let's do it right now and get it out of the way."
and there ended the meeting. Surprisingly Mark still came to weights but he seemed to me much more directed and rarely stood or spoke. Nothing happened to Jason over the whole incident.
3 years later Jason goes into a United Dairy Farmer at 3:00 am, they wouldn't sell him beer after 1:00 am, so Jason takes a 12 pack, sits down at one of their tables and starts drinking. The clerk calls the sherriff department, they come to get Jason...lucky for him the deputy was a former player and knew him. He made Jason pay for the beer and he took Jason home.
Later I asked Jason what he was doing. He said "well, they wouldn't sell me beer before 6:00 am, so I was just going to sit there and drink until 6:00, pay for the beer I had drank and leave."
Hard to argue with that sound logic isn't it?
When he's on an even keel, Jason is one of the nicest, most polite, give you the shirt off his back kids you'd ever want to meet. But when he's off center...he is way off. Very good football player and an excellent wrestler.
I love him to death, but I look for Jason to end up in the penal system or UFC.
Read this post to my wife and she laughed her a$$ off. I think it sounds like some of her brothers!
