Last year we did a classic/custom car show. A lot of fun. Not sure how much we brought it but it was a good amount. I have a buddy who's the head coach at another high school and he does a fireworks stand every year. Makes a ton of money off of it.

Before we got Hudl I made our defensive playbook on Powerpoint. Not a whole lot of funds to print out a playbook for everyone, plus, as some said, they rarely look at it or lose it. So I just emailed the Powerpoint to all the players to they at least had it on their computer. If they wanted to print it out, fine with me.

[/img] Hahaha. Agreed 100% but with our head coach doing nothing for these players I feel I need to do whatever I can to help them out (its my 1st year at this school). Thanks for the info coaches. I hear about this kind of stuff and don't understand it at all. If he's really not doing anything to help the kids what does he say his rationale is? Its complicted. He's had cancer for a couple years and although its under control now, he just shows up for the games and does most of the admin stuff. He never comes to practice and shows up on game nights and just starts screaming at everyone. The OC and myself (I'm the DC) pretty much run the program. It's great experience for me. Just feel bad for the players cause we have two players that can play at the next level and he won't do anything to help them out.

Hey Coaches. Wanted to get your advice on ways you go about helping your players get recruited. I used the Hudl recruiting service, but just wanted to know what others do just in case that doesn't work. Thanks in advanced for any advice.

"The Longest Yard 2" - featuring Mike Vick ;D . . . it's not out yet, but I think it might make a good movie.

So the high school does a few "mini camps" during the offseason for the Jr. All American teams. I've worked one before and was wondering what would be some good drills to do for youth linebackers. Any ideas? Thanks!
